Alan Cumming brought back Emmy on Sunday night at Creative Arts Emmys for the outstanding host of the reality competition program for “traitors.”
But behind the scenes Cumming, who reiterates his role as Nightcrawler from “x2” in “Avengers: Doomsday,” was asked how he prepares to play the character again. I finished it. ”
The actor who last played the character in 2002 said, “I did a lot of stunt work and training. That was amazing.” He joked. “The stunts couldn’t believe I could get up, let alone get up and jumping and doing this boxing and training,” joked.
Cumming admitted that he had forgotten to rewatch the first film before reviving the character. However, it turned out to be advantageous for the actor and his process. “I think this really helped, because it’s so intense and so many at once.”
Previously, Cumming had spoken about his makeup process for playing a blue mutant with a heavy tattoo. On “Today with Jenna and Friends,” Cumming said, “It’s actually great about it. It was four and a half to five hours ago, and now it was 90 minutes.” Behind the scenes, Cumming talked about how much more advanced the technology has evolved. “The thing about the green screen, CGI, and face exchange is that it’s a very detailed task. So I felt that there was an opportunity to portray the characters properly again.”
Also returning to “Doomsday” are fellow X-Men cast members Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Kelsey Grammer, James Marsden and Rebecca Romijn.
Several core MCU favourites have also returned to the film, including Robert Downey Jr., Anthony Mackie, Danny Ramirez, Sebastian Stan, Paul Rudd, Tom Hiddleston, Letitia Wright and Winston Duke.
