AGC Television, the scripted television production and distribution division of Stuart Ford’s AGC Studios, has added “A Wolf’s Prey” to its distribution slate, introducing six episodes from Lithuania and Germany to international buyers at Mipcom.
When a young woman is brutally murdered in a far-off town, a decided female detective enters the case. As she delves into the mystery, the darkest truth of the town is revealed. What begins as a exploration of the killer becomes a battle that reveals corruption beneath the quiet surface of the town.
“The director combined the ideas of mythical, internationally acclaimed psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung with the darkest desires and sin of mankind,” the statement said.
Director Writer Emilis Verivis said: “This is the first attempt to create this kind of story and genre again in the series since David Lynch’s legendary international success in ‘Twin Peaks’. ”
Currently, in post-production, the English/Lithuanian series are Edward Holcroft (“Kingsman: The Secret Service”, “English Games”), Ingebo Gadap Knight (“Mission Impossible”, “Seven Years of Tibet”, “Hannibal Rising”), agnėė Shatate (“Provisioning”), “gorpela (“The Paradise of Maria” and Ieva and Rejevaitė (“Tetris”, “All People”, “Pilgrims”).
The series is written and directed by Verivis (“Redirect”, “Evil Generation”) for Diva Valnite Giovaisien and Asta Liukaititto ė (Lithuania), of Kino Kurtas (Lithuania), co-produced by Joseph Brandomere of Joseph Blandamere of Joseph Blandomere. The son of Finland’s pitch and AGC’s Ford, Lourdes Diaz and Diane Ferlandes.
The main crew creatives include photography director Felixus Abrakauskas, production designer Ramnathrasta Auskas, costume designers Jorantarimkut and Deville ė Civil Skyte, and makeup artist Urgitagrobeto.
Kino Kultas and Kodachrome produced and funded with support from film centres in Lithuania, private investors, and Lithuania’s national broadcasting stations LRT and Terrier Play.
The deal was negotiated by Michael Mullerner, managing director of Kodachrome, and AGC’s vice president of AGC, AGC Conner McKelloy.
