Jelly Roll has revealed a dramatic clean-cut look after shaving his face for the first time in 10 years.
The country star showed off her transformation on Instagram Thursday, joking that her new look resembles a “ninja turtle.”
“I thought my chin was at least half an inch longer than it actually was, but, well, I didn’t know. It was a science experiment gone wrong.”
Despite the joke, he also revealed the more emotional reason he chose to finally shave his facial hair after 10 years.
“One of the reasons I started growing a beard was because I was so obese. It was just easier to hide what was going on here,” he explained in the video, pointing to his neck.
The “Wild Ones” hitmaker has lost more than 200 pounds over the past three years, so he no longer feels the need to hide behind a beard.
Jelly Roll (real name Jason Bradley Deford) tearfully expressed his “gratefulness” for receiving three nominations for the 2026 Grammy Awards announced earlier this month.
His fans took to the comments section to congratulate him on his nomination and raved about his freshly shaven look.
One fan wrote: “You’re an amazing man. Congratulations. You deserve everything you’ve worked so hard for.”
“Congratulations! And you look great! I love your new look,” another added.
“🤯 If it wasn’t for the tattoo, I wouldn’t have recognized you! Good for you!” one fan praised.
Last week, his wife Bunny Zoe also supported him before revealing his shaved face to the world, saying: “Because he’s so skinny right now — look at that damn jawline — we want to see that jawline, guys.”
The musician re-embarked on his fitness journey in public in December 2022 and has been sharing milestones with fans over the years.
Last year, he celebrated losing 100 pounds while on tour and promised fans he would be unrecognizable by 2025.
Back in September, he celebrated losing 200 pounds by treating himself to a designer wardrobe.
“Now I can ride Louis Vuitton. Get my bank account back,” he said. She playfully captioned some snaps, showing off her impressive weight loss.
