She is “chasing” a new dream.

Adele is set to make her acting debut in “Cry to Heaven,” directed by Tom Ford and based on the Anne Rice novel.

The “Chasing Pavements” singer’s role in the film, which is scheduled for release in late fall 2026, is currently unknown.

According to Deadline, the film is currently in pre-production in London and Rome, with principal photography scheduled to begin in mid-January.

The film is based on Mr. Rice’s 1982 novel of the same name, which tells the story of “two men who are castrated to ensure perfect soprano voices” in 18th-century Italy, according to the author’s website.

“Guido Maffeo is castrated at the age of six and enrolled in a music conservatory. He becomes a star until he loses his voice. When he loses his voice, he becomes a teacher and searches for a boy who can fulfill his lost dreams,” reads part of the synopsis of the novel.

According to reports, the 37-year-old ‘Someone Like You’ hitmaker will be joined by Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ciaran Hinds, George MacKay, Mark Strong, Colin Firth, Paul Bettany, Owen Cooper and Daniel Quinn-Toy.

Additional appearances include Hunter Schaefer, Josephine Thiessen, Thandiwe Newton, Theodore Pellerin, Darryl McCormack, Cassian Bilton, Hauk Hanneman, and Lux Pascal.

Ford, 64, wrote the screenplay and will direct and produce through his production company, Fade to Black.

Instead of working with a studio to finance the film, the former Gucci and YSL creative director has decided to self-finance the film and plans to put it on the market once production is finished, the outlet said.

He certainly has the money — Ford sold his fashion brand to Estée Lauder in 2023 for $2.83 billion.

“Cry to Heaven” also marks the fashion designer’s first return to film in about 10 years since “Nocturnal Animals,” which won the Grand Jury Prize at the 2016 Venice Film Festival, was nominated for nine BAFTAs, and was nominated for three Golden Globes.

Taylor-Johnson won a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the 2016 film.

As for Firth, he was nominated for an Oscar and won a BAFTA for his performance in Ford’s acclaimed debut film, A Single Man.

Adele announced last year that she would be taking a hiatus from music after her stint in Las Vegas.

Other than a few appearances on “Saturday Night Live” and a cameo on “Ugly Betty” in the early 2000s, the singer has made few on-screen appearances.
