Adam Schweitzer is changing teams as he moves to WME after 25 years at ICM and CAA.
The veteran talent agent has joined WME as a senior partner in its talent division. Schweitzer has a strong client list that includes Cillian Murphy, Rebecca Ferguson, Rachel Zegler, Christoph Waltz, Hong Chau and Patrick Stewart.
“Adam has a wealth of experience and, in addition to being a great agent, is a great fit for WME. His work and clients speak for themselves,” said WME co-chairman Richard Weitz. “We are excited to welcome him and are excited to hit the ground running this year.”
Schweitzer first joined ICM in 2000 as an assistant and rose to become ICM’s chief executive. It transitioned to CAA in 2022 after CAA acquired ICM Partners. At ICM, Schweitzer was promoted to managing director and director. He was also part of the senior agent group that acquired ICM from its private equity owners in 2012 in a management buyout.
“WME has built a great culture alongside a business that fosters collaboration, making us ideally suited to support talent in today’s market,” said Schweitzer. “I look forward to the next chapter for myself and my clients.”
Other clients coming to WME after Schweitzer include actors Cooper Hoffman, Tom Hollander, Diane Kruger, Paddy Considine, Hank Azaria, Dianne Wiest, Jim Sturgess, Nina Arianda, and author Emily Ziff Griffin.
Schweitzer is based in New York. His move comes at a time when many experienced Tenper centers are relocating companies or transitioning into management positions.
