Adam Friedland has signed with UTA.
The comedian and podcaster, best known for hosting “The Adam Friedland Show,” will be represented in all areas including film, television, news media, podcasting and comedy touring.
Friedland rose from the gritty, cult comedy podcast Come Town to launch the freewheeling, quirky comedy talk program The Adam Friedland Show. The show is loosely inspired by “The Dick Cavett Show,” complete with cozy sets reminiscent of the 1970s.
Friedland’s amazingly unfiltered conversations with celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker, media figures like Dave Portnoy, and politicians like Congressman Ritchie Torres have garnered him viral fame, leading GQ magazine to profile him earlier this year as the “Millennial Jon Stewart.” “The Adam Friedland Show” is currently in its second season, with recent guests including Chance the Rapper, Sen. Chris Murphy, Richard Kind, Amanda Knox, Logic, Blake Griffin and Rainn Wilson.
Outside of talk shows, Friedland has performed stand-up across the United States and has become a prominent figure in the alternative comedy scene. He has also appeared on news media shows such as “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” where he appeared alongside right-wing pundits and journalists and delivered an elaborate tirade urging people to have more “empathy” for the “suffering” Donald Trump.
Mr. Friedland will continue to be represented by managers Mark Fineman (FINE Group) and Mason Klein (mixed management), and publicist Mitchell Jackson (BCC Communications). He joins UTA’s extensive comedy roster, which includes Sebastian Maniscalco, Nate Bargazze, Nikki Glaser, Bo Burnham, Demetri Martin, Nathan Fielder, Sarah Sherman, and more.
