Brandon and Caradart, parents of New York Giants quarterback Jackson Dart, have always supported their son in his football career.
Brandon and Kara played soccer in college like Jackson, and Brandon nurtured the sport. Because of their shared experience, Brandon was able to share his advice with the son of his star player.
Jackson’s parents have provided constructive criticism at a time of value after notable performances in a valuable game, but Brandon told the New York Times.
Brandon and Kara have another son, Diesel, who plays soccer in high school, and two daughters born and raised in Utah, where Kara runs a fitness program.
Brandon and Kara support the kids, but as Kara said in an interview with the University of Mississippi, they also challenge them. “He hasn’t felt comfortable for years,” she said. “We have a phrase at home. You have to be comfortable being uncomfortable because that’s why much of your life.”

Brandon and Kara grew up in Utah

Brandon and Kara both grew up in Utah. He attended Northridge High School in Leighton, according to the University of Utah Athletics, and she went to Weber High School in Pleasant View, according to the sports illustration.
Brandon played soccer, basketball and baseball in high school, and was also a track team sprinter and a long jumper. Kara ran the track, played volleyball at school and was a two-time All-state basketball player.

Brandon and Kara share two sons, Jackson and Diesel, and two daughters who are separated from the public eye. Jackson was born in Kaesville, Utah on May 13, 2003 and played for the New York Giants after selecting him in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Diesel also plays football, and is a wide receiver and defensive back at Corner Canyon High School in Draper, Utah.
Brandon played soccer at the University of Utah

After being recruited to Brigham Young University, Utah State, Boise State and Washington State University, Brandon enrolled at the University of Utah. He played football from 1994 to 1996, then between 1999 and 2000, after being granted two extra years of availability via the NCAA.
He suffered from injuries in his first two years, then returned the following year to start 10 games, becoming the team’s second tackler with a total of 96 stops and 15 tackles.
He told Deseret News in 1999 that after returning from his injury, “I try to put things in perspective and everyone knows that they have their ordeal… I take my flaws before anything happens to family and friends.”
Brandon took part in the academic honor role while at school and said he wanted to become a dentist.
Kara runs fitness programs and Brandon is an entrepreneur

Brandon is an entrepreneur and owns Dartco Masonry according to LinkedIn. Kara remained active and detailed her fitness program on her private Instagram account.
In 2019, she suffered a serious leg injury. She wrote on Instagram that she would not be able to participate in the Boston Marathon, saying, “Last month was a whirlwind. My injury was very serious, I had a big foot and ankle surgery and now I’m with a hardcast and a hardcast 16 days later. Sports.
She continues, “I’ve been ‘running’ to some extent as long as I can remember. I sprinted, flipped, jumped, and gradually moved to running distances. Obviously Boston is out for me this year. ”
Brandon and Kara both support Jackson

Brandon helped promote Jackson’s interest in football and supported him when he grew up playing sports. He told the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal in 2024, “As a little guy, he can throw, can hit, can shoot, can throw football.”
Brandon has provided Jackson advice throughout his career. Discussing the Pep talk he gave to his son, Brandon said, “I just said, ‘Jackson, let me tell you something about soccer. Football is not a movie. Football is not a fairy tale, and you don’t necessarily need the best team.”
Kara also provides Jaxson support and constructive feedback. Brandon added: “I remember walking around the house (Brandon) at the kitchen table (Brandon). She’s giving it to him, and he’s sitting there like, ‘It’s okay, it’s okay, it’s okay.’ ”
In August 2024, Jackson told GQ: “When I walk through the Champion walk, I go and try to hold her, and she tries to hype me. But with every little interaction she always reminds me to slide.
Kara gives Jackson’s fashion advice

Jackson told GQ in 2024 that Kara was interested in fashion and clothing choices, saying, “My mother is obsessed with it. She did an amazing job of picking and finding what I like and giving her options.
He added that he would reach out to her as he decides what to wear for the pre-match strike or whether he is choosing his outfit. “I relied on her for a lot in the fashion world,” Jackson said. “At the same time, I think she’ll give you some great input.”
