Aryna Sabalenka is dating Oakberry CEO Georgios Frangulis. The tennis star recently joked about the “suggestion.”
On August 29th, Aryna Sabalenka witnessed the proposal at US Open and when she burned about it in a post-game interview, her boyfriend Georgios Frangulis came to mind. Sabalenka had just won the 3rd round match against Leila Fernandez and only joked with the reporter that her engagement was so cute, but she was trying to focus on the game.
“I think this is the first time someone has proposed it during my game,” she said. “It was a very sweet moment, but I was just trying to start smiling. I’m so cute, I think I’m so happy right now.”
When the press asked if she hoped that “someone else in the crowd got some ideas,” she said, “I don’t want this kind of suggestion, but I saw my boyfriend.

Who is Georgios Frangulis?
Frangilis grew up in Brazil but came from a Greek family. His grandfather, Georgios, moved from Thessaloniki, but his father, Eleferios, was also born in Brazil. However, according to his February 2025 profile at the Greek Herald, his ancestors are extremely important to him.
“I can say we have always been a Greek family. I feel 100% Greek in the world, our values, the way I was raised,” he explained.
He was extremely successful through his Acai Bowl Company, Oakberry. He shared that he went to law school with the intention of becoming a lawyer, but found out he was a “mental entrepreneur.”
“I always knew to build a business and create something that would bring joy and good to people,” he added.
Oakberry started in Brazil, but took off on a large scale in the US. Traded: According to an Instagram post from Venture Capital, the company raised $67 million in capital in 2023.
Frangulis was also an avid race car enthusiast, once a driver and dreamed of owning an F1 team. He competed in 128 races in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge, per driver database.
“We’re going to split the time between tennis matches, Oakberry and the racetrack,” he explained. And he certainly appears to be by Sabalenka’s side.
In January 2024, she even became a brand ambassador for Oakberry.
“Aryna Sabalenka is a great example of the future of tennis and we have been working closely with her over the years to create something truly exciting,” Frangulis said. “I can’t wait for the fans to join!”
How long have they been together?
In April 2024, the pair were first seen together. Sabalenka’s late boyfriend, Konstantin Kortzsov, the boyfriend of an ice hockey player, died of suicide a month ago. In an interview with people in August 2024, Sabalenka shared how Frangilis supported her during her grief, saying, “I had a really difficult time with him being with me and always cheering me up and making sure I’m always doing something fun.”
She wanted him a happy birthday that September and wrote on Instagram, “Happy birthday Meu Amor, I’m so lucky to have you by my side.
