The upcoming wedding of Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco reportedly misses major A-list guests.
Meryl Streep appeared with Gomez in “The Building’s Only Murder” and dates co-star Martin Short – who was invited to a highly anticipated wedding but was pulled out, sources told the Daily Mail.
An insider explained to the outlet that the Oscar winner “we had plans to attend, but told Serena that he couldn’t do it now.” The exact reason for her absence from the gorgeous events was not provided.
But Streep, 76, may be tied to work as he has been filming a sequel to “The Devil Wears Prada” in New York City in recent months.

Gomez and Blanco are told they will have other stars watch them say “I will” on their big day.
Short, 75, and Steve Martin have also appeared on the Bride’s hit Hulu show, while Paris Hilton and Gomez’s BFF Taylor Swift are on the guest list for each Daily Mail.
“Taylor is going to be in attendance, but she will probably go solo as (her fiancée) Travis Kelce will be playing in Kansas the next day,” the insider added. “It’s all still being discussed.”
Gomez, 33, and swing, 37, are expected to walk the aisle this Saturday.
Sources revealed last week that the Sun’s star-studded wedding of pop stars and songwriters will take place on private property in Santa Barbara, California.
Guests stay nearby at the El Encanto Hotel, where the room goes for $3,500 per night.
“All guests will be greeted and driven in the location without knowing their destination in advance,” the source added. “Despite the mystery, everyone is very excited. They know it’s going to be a great time.”
Slanco proposed to Gomez in December 2024 with a Marquise engagement ring after a year of dates.
The “Come&Get It” diva was gushing on Instagram at the time on “Forevers Beginns.”
