Katy Perry gets her final laugh after the intense criticism she received on her “life” tour.
According to her management, the pop star has already sold 1.1 million tickets, with more than $80 million in sales.
According to figures provided to Billboard, the $80 million she won comes from ticket sales to her shows in the US, Canada and Australia. Perry had a total of 45 shows in three countries.
The impressive amount also does not include future overseas stops for “Teenage Dream” singers in Latin America, Europe and China.
Perry’s representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Page 6.
Perry, 40, has faced a lot of criticism online for her “lifetime” tour and her latest album, “143.” Critics roasted the costumes and choreography of her space during her performance, with one X user asking, “Does people pay to see this?”
Another X user said, “This looks like someone who comes out of retirement in 30 years and is trying to pull off the same move when they’re young and popular.”
She was also roasted in April to be part of the all-female Blue Origin Space Flight alongside Gale King, Lauren Sanchez, Aisha Bow, Amanda Nguyen and Kellianne Flynn.
Critics praised the trip as a waste of money to ignore, and celebrities like Emily Ratakowski, Olivia Munn, Olivia Wilde and Jessica Chastain publicly denounced the excursion.
Perry responded to the hatred she had received on both the tour and on Blue Origin spaceflight later that month, calling her dislike “unhealed.”
“Know I’m fine, I did a lot knowing who I am, what’s real and what’s important to me,” she wrote in an Instagram comment on her fanpage.
“My therapist said that it was a game changer a few years ago.
Perry pointed out that when “the “online” world tries to make (her) a human piñata,” she chooses to accept it with grace and sends her love.
“I know so many people are hurt in so many ways, and the internet is a very, very unadjusted dump,” she writes.
Perry’s financial achievements came amid a tough period in her personal life as she and Orlando Bloom confirmed their breakup after nine years together.
What’s more, the pop star’s obvious budding romance with Justin Trudeau has already become “squeaky.”
Sources claimed that the busy schedule and the former Canadian Prime Minister took a step back due to his turn-off due to all the publicity surrounding dinner day in July.
