Davey Chase’s father has remembered his late daughter with a heartbreaking message on what would have been her 36th birthday.
“I think about her all the time, every day,” John Schworier told the Daily Mail on Friday.
“The sad thing is that the only pictures I have of (Davey) are the ones I printed out on the internet because her mother kept me away from her,” he said, referring to Davie’s mother Kathy, who is currently storing the “Lilo & Stitch” actress’s remains and is requesting to be named custodian of Davie’s $400,000 estate.
“She left this world far too soon,” Chevalier continued of her late daughter, who passed away just last month.
“Today I just want to wish her a happy birthday and let her know I think about her every day.”
Page Six has reached out to Kathy’s attorney for comment on Schwarrier’s claims.
In court documents regarding the “Ring” actress’ estate, Kathy claimed that Schwarrier “resides in the Philippines at an unknown address” but believes he also “maintains assets” in Las Vegas.
Ms Davey died on June 16 at the age of 35 after being diagnosed with meningitis and multiple “serious” blood infections that caused her body to become septic and eventually shut down.
It was later revealed by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office that the former child star’s cause of death was listed as acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) and polysubstance use disorder.
At the time, Schwallier exclusively told the Post that he was “not surprised” to hear LACME’s autopsy report and that “given the lifestyle she was living, that’s sometimes what you have to expect.”
He also said that although they spoke on the phone as Davey was growing up, they had not met in person since Davey was 6 years old.
“I felt empty inside because I hadn’t been with her for years,” he said.
As previously reported, Davey’s body was cremated and his ashes were sent to his mother, Kathy, whose final resting place was her home in Chatsworth, California.
Davey was said to have fallen victim to drug addiction and spent his later years living in a notorious strip mall in downtown Los Angeles.
After news of her death broke, John Ryan, her longtime manager for more than a decade, exclusively told the Post that he and Davey’s sister-in-law, Gaia Brown, had been working with private investigators for a year to track her down and get her help.
In late 2025, Ryan said he learned of a video that purportedly showed Davey looking incredibly thin and struggling on skid row.
