NBA athlete Anthony Edwards is officially married!
The Minnesota Timberwolves star married his longtime girlfriend Shannon Jackson on July 16, according to Minnesota marriage records.
A representative for Edwards did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Fans began speculating about a possible marriage between the two last week after Edwards, 24, was spotted wearing a black band on her ring finger at Fanatics Fest in New York City.
Edwards and Jackson announced their romance in 2020. They are also parents to a 2-year-old daughter, Aislinn.
The NBA star previously shared three children: daughter Alice (born September 2023) with a woman named Daja, son Amir (born October 2023) with Ally D, and daughter Aubrey Summers (born October 14, 2024) with Aisha Howard.
Edwards’ wedding comes shortly after the professional athlete’s highly publicized child support scandal with Howard.
The legal battle began in October 2024, when Edwards sued Howard in Georgia to establish paternity and child support.
In response, the model, who is also the mother of rapper Lil Baby and son Jason, filed a paternity and child support lawsuit scheduled to be heard in California in February 2025.
At the time, Howard claimed in documents that she and Edwards “spent time together in various cities while playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves and during the offseason. In January 2024,[she]discovered that she was pregnant with his child.”
She also revealed how the NBA star responded to Howard’s pregnancy revelation via text, including an alleged screenshot of their texts.
A screenshot showed the mother-of-two writing to Ms Edwards: “I’m pregnant…I wanted to tell her in person but I had no other choice. I probably should have told her in good faith but here we are.”
Edwards reportedly replied, “Okay (lol). Get an abortion (lol).”
In April 2025, the shooting guard agreed to give Howard sole temporary legal and physical custody of their daughter.
Despite the agreement, things got even trickier in their contentious custody battle when Howard accused Edwards of “deliberately” hiding assets to avoid child support obligations for their daughter.
Ms Edwards countered Ms Howard’s claims, saying that Ms Howard had “organized a coordinated media campaign” to “pressure” Mr Edwards into reaching a financial agreement for the baby.
Jackson stood by Edwards during the scandal and was seen courtside cheering him on at several games during the season.
