Travis Kelsey debuted a yellow gold wedding ring the week after marrying Taylor Swift. Kelsey chose a wide band with a timeless design, jewelers told ELLE. They also highlighted that the band pays homage to Swift’s engagement ring.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey have yet to share any photos from their July 3rd wedding, but on July 10th, the newlyweds unveiled their new wedding rings for the first time. The newlyweds attended JuJu Smith-Schuster and Laura Crook’s wedding, and paparazzi photos gave a glimpse of their new golden wedding anniversary, albeit from a distance.
Since then, Kelce has taken a more generous look at his ring. On July 20, Kelsey’s friend and longtime trainer Chris Carter posted a photo of Kelsey flashing a ring. “Andrew (Spruill) and I started working with Travis before his rookie year in the NFL,” Carter wrote, before hinting that Kelce would play his final season with the Kansas City Chiefs. “Please know that 🐐 is preparing for his last dance. Next stop is Canton/HOF.”
Kelce was also photographed working out wearing a gold band. Although fans weren’t able to see the ring clearly up close, jewelers could already tell that Kelce had chosen a timeless piece for her wedding ring.
“It’s very simple,” Steph Mazuela, who founded her eponymous brand that makes custom engagement rings, tells ELLE. “Rather than choosing a statement design, Travis seems to have chosen items that will never feel outdated.”
The ring is also a subtle nod to wife Taylor Swift’s own wedding stack. Here, jewelers break down the details of their pieces and why they’re on-trend.

Close-up photos have not yet been released, but jewelers say Kelce’s ring is on the wide side. Olivia Landau, founder and CEO of The Clear Cut, believes this is a band that fits comfortably. “It looks like it’s 5-6mm wide,” she added.
Lauren Bock, founder and CEO of Hella Fine Jewelry, said the width is “pretty wide,” “about 6mm, maybe a little more.”
Mazuela agreed with Landau’s estimate, saying, “From what we can see, this appears to be a classic 5-6mm domed band, likely made of 18K yellow gold. It’s a classic style with soft, rounded edges, and has been a staple of men’s wedding bands for decades.”
It’s trendy and exactly Travis Kelsey’s choice, Bock says. “Full bands are popular with male customers seeking a more masculine or modern look that fits his personal style.”
His choice of metal is reminiscent of his wife Taylor Swift’s engagement ring.
Kelsey chose yellow gold for her ring, which Landau said “matches Taylor’s engagement ring.”
Mazuela added, “We chose a yellow gold band because it seems to complement the tone of Taylor’s engagement ring, so it’s a great match.”

Kelce’s band is estimated to be worth between $2,000 and $6,000.
Kelce’s simple wedding ring certainly won’t cost as much as his wife’s more elaborate engagement ring, but it will cost at least a few thousand dollars, Mazuela said. “Wedding rings like this can vary greatly in price depending on who made them and how they were made,” she explains. “For a classic gold band, most of the cost is determined by the weight and thickness of the ring. Heavier bands made by fine jewelers will naturally cost more. I think the price for such a ring will be in the $2,000 to $6,000 range.”
This ring has a simple, timeless design that reflects current trends in men’s wedding jewelry.
Landau and Mazuela both believe that Kelce’s band is timeless. “This is a timeless, classic design,” says Landau.
Kelce’s metal choices in particular are experiencing a renaissance, Mazuela says. “While alternative metals and textured finishes have gained popularity in recent years, there has been a renewed appreciation for traditional yellow gold. Many men are drawn to timeless designs that prioritize longevity over trends, and a simple domed gold band is about as durable as it gets.”
