Kelly Osbourne is feeling nostalgic as she remembers her “Papa” Ozzy Osbourne on the anniversary of his death.

“One year ago today, the world changed forever,” she wrote in a long letter honoring her late father via Instagram on Tuesday.

“Today I sit next to you in a way I never thought possible. I know you’re still with me. I feel you in the silence, in the wind, in every song that stops me in my tracks. It’s the scent of your cologne, and I feel you in every moment when love outweighs sadness. You’re all around me.”

“The hardest thing is not that you’re gone. The hardest thing is not being able to touch you. I can’t hold your hand. I can’t wrap my arms around you or feel the security that only you can give me. I always thought life was hard, but life without you is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to endure.”

“You are my everything. My protector. My greatest teacher. My best friend. The apple of my eye. My reason.”

The former Fashion Police star, 41, looked back fondly on the “beautiful memories” they had together, adding that through “all the craziness” they “somehow made every moment worth it.”

“I have never loved anyone or anything as deeply and uniquely as you, and now I carry that love with no place but within myself, my son, and my mom. It hurts every day, but it is also the greatest privilege of my life: to have loved someone so completely,” she wrote.

Osborne has been missing his father a little lately. On Father’s Day, she also wrote a touching tribute to her father.

“Dad, I still find myself looking for you in every moment, for the advice I need, the joke I want to tell, the victory I want you to see,” the TV personality wrote on Instagram at the time, alongside a throwback photo with the Black Sabbath frontman.

“The pain of not seeing you is the price of loving you. I’d rather pay that forever than never being your child!” she added.

I will never miss you. I am honored to spend the rest of my life loving you. Until we meet again! 💔”

Ozzy tragically passed away on July 22, 2025, after a battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was 76 years old.

Ozzy revealed his diagnosis in 2020 in the years leading up to his death.

Ozzy and his wife Sharon Osbourne have daughters Kelly Osbourne and Amy Osbourne, 42, and son Jack Osbourne, 40.

He is also the father of Elliot Kingsley, 60, Jessica Osbourne, 47, and Louis Osbourne, 51, with ex-wife Thelma Riley, to whom he was married from 1971 to 1982.
