Katy Perry casually revealed that her boyfriend Justin Trudeau traveled to Europe with her for a festival performance. Her latest Instagram post also included a photo of them kissing in Germany. Perry called Trudeau the love of his life during a Q&A last month.
Katy Perry attended the Jazz Open in Stuttgart, Germany, and her boyfriend Justin Trudeau was there to cheer her on. The singer posted a photo of her performance on Instagram on the merry-go-round, and also snuck a shot of Trudeau kissing her. Prime Minister Trudeau was also in the audience for the show.
“Just to confirm, we did indeed see crowdsurfing inflatable water bottles for the first time at the Jazz Open last night 🇩🇪,” the singer wrote.
Perry performs at festivals throughout Europe throughout the summer. She is scheduled to perform at Musillac, France, in Aix-les-Bains later today. Throughout her appearance, she wears her archive tour outfit, which fans can enter into a sweepstakes to support the Fireworks Foundation. Perry co-founded a charity that aims to empower children in underprivileged communities through the arts.
She and Prime Minister Trudeau will mark the one-year anniversary of their first date on July 28.
Last month, Perry opened up about her relationship with the former Canadian prime minister during a Q&A at the premiere of her concert film Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour at the Tribeca Festival.
“I’m so in love,” she told host music journalist Thomas Mir.
The film features her concert in Paris, which took place just as her love story with Prime Minister Trudeau was beginning. “Actually, that show was after I met the love of my life. So I felt very anchored by that show because I’m like a rainbow kite,” she explained. “I like being super high-flying and touching the veil and the universe. And sometimes I need to be grounded. So with that grounding, I feel really complete right now.”
She touched on her journey in 2025, including her breakup with Orlando Bloom. “Last year was probably one of the most difficult years of my life and I went through a lot,” she admitted. “There were some really, really tough days, but I kept going because I had a promise to my fans. I made a promise to my daughter. I made a promise to myself, and I got through it.”
