Olivia Wilde has spoken out about her relationship with Caspar Jopling for the first time. The two have been in a romantic relationship since September 2025. Jopling was previously married to singer Ellie Goulding.

She told The Cut why: “When I’m around people who aren’t in the entertainment industry or who aren’t public figures, I feel like, ‘I want to protect this person as much as possible.'”
She then spoke more broadly about their dynamic. “I’m in a really nice relationship right now,” she said. “I respect him and I feel complete and intact as a person. I think that’s only possible after being single for several years. How can you know who you are if you haven’t been single for several years?”
Wilde was previously engaged to comedian Jason Sudeikis, with whom she shares two children, Otis, 12, and Daisy, 9. She then dated pop star Harry Styles for just over a year before ending their relationship in November 2022. This will be their first public relationship since then.

Who is Casper Jopling?
Casper Jopling isn’t in the entertainment industry per se, but he is an art dealer well versed in fame. He was married to musician Ellie Goulding from 2019 to 2024 and they have one child, a five-year-old son, Arthur.
And his sister Tamara Meade won an Emmy Award in 2023 for her work as a makeup artist on Netflix’s Wednesdays, and the proud brother celebrated on Instagram.
Jopling’s LinkedIn profile states that she graduated from Harvard University in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in art history, architectural history, and film studies. He then went on to Oxford University to earn an MBA from Saïd Business School.
He then worked at Sotheby’s before moving to White Cube Gallery, owned by his uncle Jay Jopling.
He met Ellie Goulding at a mutual friend’s dinner in 2017 and they started dating. They got married in 2019 but announced their divorce in 2024.
Golding wrote on his Instagram Story that the pair “separated privately some time ago” and remain “closest friends.”
“We are committed to protecting our family’s privacy and thank you for respecting our wishes. We will not be commenting further,” she added. “thank you.”
