Tuesday’s In the City premiere started with Kyle Cook confronting his estranged wife Amanda Batula about her relationship with Summer House co-star West Wilson.
During their sit-down, filmed on April 9, Cook asked his ex-girlfriend if there was any truth to rumors that he had an “emotional relationship” with the sports journalist in the months leading up to Thanksgiving 2025.
But Mr Batula insisted there was “nothing going on” with Mr Wilson, 31, last year.
“I was so dedicated to you from start to finish, and all I wanted was for it to work out,” she told Cook, 43.
Batula, 34, added: “I’m not that type of person,” and reminded Cook: “I’ve been fooled by you.”
Just as Cook said he “had a one-night stand” in 2018, Batula also claimed he “had an affair with someone” during their marriage, which began in 2021, and claimed he had video evidence.
“Okay,” Cook said in response to Batula’s bombshell.
After Batula reiterated that she had not deceived Cook, the Loverboy founder said he knew she was “not a bad person” but believed her actions were “reckless and imprudent.”
When Cooke raised concerns about Batula’s “mental health” following widespread backlash over Batula’s relationship with her ex-girlfriend Wilson, her best friend Ciara Miller, she told her ex-spouse that she was no longer “responsible.”
Toward the end of the conversation, Mr. Cook shed tears at the fact that Mr. Batula had left.
“It makes me so angry that other people would like the version that I fell in love with,” he said through tears.
The scenes between the former lovers were filmed a week after Batula and Wilson went public with their relationship, following rumors that they were cheating on each other behind their co-stars’ backs.
Batula and Cook were married for four years before announcing their split in January, while Wilson dated Miller, 30, for several months in 2023.
Wilson and the travel nurse rekindled their romance during season 10, which was filmed last summer.
Wilson and Batula both claim to have dated during their bachelor days, but their co-stars, including Cook, have cast doubt on the timeline of their relationship.
In the trailer for the three-part Season 10 reunion, which begins airing next week, Miller said Wilson is only dating Batula to be “mean.”
Meanwhile, Mr Cook told Mr Wilson that his relationship with his friend and his estranged wife was “going back and forth between worry and feelings of betrayal”.
Batula and Wilson also shared a kiss in the explosive trailer.
