Christina Applegate’s friends are reportedly worried for the “Married…with Children” star after her recent hospitalization, fearing the worst as more “hell” details emerge with her multiple sclerosis diagnosis.
“Realistically, every time there’s a setback, everyone has it in the back of their minds that there might not be another tomorrow with her,” a source told the Daily Mail in a report published Friday.
“Christina is a fighter, but her battle with MS has been a dangerous one. She has good days and really bad days. There are no great days. She’s always fighting something. It’s the worst.”
The source added, “But when she puts things in a positive light, she feels good in that moment because she has so many friends who listen to her, cry with her, and do everything in between.”
The news comes shortly after Applegate, 54, was reported to have been hospitalized in Los Angeles last month.
At this time, it is unclear whether the reason for her prolonged hospitalization is related to an autoimmune disease.
When asked for comment, a representative for the actress told Page Six: “We won’t comment on whether she is hospitalized or what her treatment is. She has had a complex medical condition for many years, as evidenced in her memoir and podcast, but she is refreshingly open about it.”
Applegate, who revealed her MS diagnosis in August 2021, has been open about her health journey in various interviews and on her podcast MesSy, which she co-hosts with Jamie Lynn Sigler.
Most recently, in February, she admitted that she was confined to her bed due to ongoing pain. She made the confession when she told PEOPLE that she still tries to take Sadie, her daughter with husband Martin Lenoble, to school in the morning.
“I want to take her with me. That’s my favorite thing. It’s the only time we get to spend together, just the two of us,” she told the magazine.
“I tell myself, ‘Get her to safety so I can get her home and get back to bed.’ And that’s what I’m doing.”
Applegate last revealed that she was hospitalized in an August 2025 podcast episode, where she shared that she was “screaming” because of “so much pain.”
During that episode, she recalled feeling excruciating pain in her side and then feeling like her “appendix was going to burst.”
At the time, doctors told her she had a kidney infection that had spread to her other kidney.
