Gracie Hunt is engaged to Derek Green, the youngest son of former Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Trent Green.
The NFL heiress, who is the daughter of billionaire Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt, announced the exciting news in a sweet Instagram post on Saturday.
“It was always you,” Gracie, 27, wrote alongside a series of photos of Derek’s proposal.
The photo showed Derek, 26, on one knee under an outdoor altar decorated with white flowers, popping the question to his now fiancée.
Another photo showed the happy couple kissing, while a third showed the NFL heiress’ emerald-cut engagement ring, which featured white diamonds and a single emerald along the band.
The merry-go-round photo also included the couple’s family and friends who filmed the proposal and celebrated with applause after Gracie said yes.
Gracie’s mother, Tavia, celebrated her daughter and future son-in-law’s engagement on Instagram over the weekend.
“We’re having another son!!” the 54-year-old wrote on her Instagram Story. “Gracie Green has a wonderful ring to it!!”
Tavia and Clark have daughters Gracie and Ava, 21, and son Knobel, 23.
“These two will forever look so beautiful,” Gracie’s mother continued. “God brought these two together in such a special way, and our hearts are filled with joy…We are so grateful for God’s hand in their lives and so excited for everything that is to come.”
Gracie first teased her relationship with Derek in an Instagram video they shot together at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri in April 2025, but has since deleted it.
“Ever since we met here 7 and a half years ago… there’s been an invisible thread,” she captioned the clip, referencing Taylor Swift’s song “Invisible String” from her album Folklore.
Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, both 36, are also engaged. Ms Kelce asked the ‘Ophelia Destiny’ hitmaker to marry her in August 2025.
Meanwhile, Gracie returned to social media last July, revealing that she and her current fiance have been “friends since 2017.”
“I’m dating my best friend,” Gracie wrote in an Instagram post while Swift’s “You Belong With Me” played in the background.
Before dating Derek, Gracie was with real estate broker Cody Keith.
Keith was not seen at the NFL heir’s 26th birthday party in March 2025, nor was he present at the Chiefs’ 2025 Super Bowl game against the Philadelphia Eagles in February of the same year.
