Azealia Banks has claimed that DC Young Fly’s girlfriend Jackie O died as “atonement” for the cruel joke the comedian told about her on “Wild ‘N Out.”
“The fact that this man’s baby mother passed away in Miami on my birthday from complications after a mommy makeover,” the 34-year-old “Luxury” singer tweeted on Wednesday, along with a video of Washington D.C. cracking jokes at her on the popular MTV show.
“I felt like my ancestors were paying me a debt with their blood. It felt like a cat was bringing a sacrifice to my doorstep,” Banks added.
In a second tweet, the “212” hitmaker wrote, “I’m clearly the meanest.”
Page Six reached out to DC for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.
In a clip shared by Banks during her 2018 appearance on Wild ‘N Out, the How High 2 actor, 33, claimed that Nick Cannon “got Azealia’s ugly ass” because he couldn’t book Cardi B.
DC (real name John Whitfield) burst out laughing when Banks looked confused.
Banks later revealed that she left the show in tears because of the “pre-planned colorist jokes” that the comedians shared about her.
“They had this planned. They beat me up out of the blue and told me I didn’t have to participate in the Kun Ass Freestyle Battle (which is not my style) and told me to sing my song and go home,” she wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post.
Jackie O, real name Jacquelyn Smith, passed away in June 2023 due to complications from cosmetic surgery. She was 33 years old.
Days before her death, Jackie traveled to Miami for a “mommy makeover” with a popular surgeon.
In September of the same year, Page Six exclusively reported that the influencer’s brain was swollen and the skin around her torso was bleeding excessively.
Miami police confirmed to TMZ that Jackie’s surgeon, Zachary “Dr. Zach” Okah, will not be charged because Jackie’s death was ruled an accident.
Following Jackie’s death, DC released a heartbreaking statement on social media following her shocking death.
“You are the best mother. I know your soul was beautiful. You always wanted the best for others, and I was impressed by how much our family loved each other!!!” he wrote about their young children, Nova, Nala, and Prince Nehemiah.
“Love forever, I know we’re trying harder than ever, but God is in control and has us covered 🙏🏾🙏🏾,” the podcast host added.
