Rapper Poo Shiesty has been arrested and charged with kidnapping and robbing Gucci Mane and other victims at gunpoint.
According to the Department of Justice, Pooh Sheesty (real name Lontrell Williams Jr.) and eight other defendants traveled to Dallas, Texas, to kidnap and rob victims who they thought were in town for a business meeting.
According to a federal criminal complaint, the “Back in Blood” rapper allegedly arranged a meeting on Jan. 10 to discuss his recording contract — he was previously signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 record label. He and the defendants then coordinated to carry out an armed takeover.
The complaint alleges that the suspect manufactured an AK-style handgun and forced one of the victims at gunpoint to sign a release form from a recording contract. His alleged co-conspirators also allegedly carried guns and robbed the victims of Rolex watches, jewelry, cash and other valuable items.
Rodney Wright Jr., known as rapper Big30, allegedly blocked the door to prevent the victims from leaving the room.
Within hours of the robbery, the defendants posted what they believed to be some of the stolen jewelry on social media, according to the complaint.
All nine defendants are charged with kidnapping and conspiracy to kidnap.
If convicted, he could be sentenced to up to life in prison.
According to the Department of Justice, Poo Shiesti was already on home confinement after being convicted of firearms conspiracy in the Southern District of Florida at the time of the alleged crime.
His father, Lontrell Williams Sr., allegedly helped plan and carry out the kidnapping.
Page Six reached out to Gucci Mane’s representatives for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.
Gucci Mane (real name Radrick Lavis) has yet to comment on the kidnapping and robbery allegations.
