Heather Graham only spends about $3,500 a month to live in a luxury penthouse in New York City.
“The reality is that mortgages are really low right now,” the “Hangover” star said Friday during a tour of the $3 million property on Caleb Simpson’s YouTube page.
She estimated the payout to be “$3,500 or so.”
The “Austin Powers” actress recalled that she bought the home just before Sept. 11, 2001, but was unable to spend her first night in the penthouse because of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.
“The day I moved in, I had the keys and it was September 11th,” she told Ms. Simpson. “I went to the Toronto Film Festival, and it was like 8 a.m., and I was like, ‘I’m moving into a new apartment today!'”
“And we passed the two towers and then we couldn’t go into the city because we were like, you know,” she continued.
“I had to find a place to stay on Long Island, so I took the subway and my first day living here was September 12, 2001.”
Ms. Graham said she “has a place in L.A., too.” She sold her Beachwood Canyon home, located beneath the legendary Hollywood sign, in 2020, more than 20 years after purchasing it in 1998.
In 2023, she purchased a multi-million dollar mid-century style home in Los Angeles’ Brentwood neighborhood. She was evacuated from there during the Palisades fire in January 2025.
During a tour of her New York City apartment, she gave fans a glimpse into what’s important to her and her daily life, explaining that she wants her place to “feel like an oasis of peace. Being home allows me to enjoy my vacation.”
The White Lotus season 4 star took fans inside her bedroom, which features an intricately carved headboard and a skylight above the bed. “That’s where the magic happens, baby!” she laughed as the influencer jumped onto the bed.
She shared a statue of a Hindu deity that serves as the spiritual center of the home. “This is like Vishnu. He’s the guardian of the universe,” she told Simpson.
“I told interior designer Jillian Lefkowitz that I wanted a world traveler feel, and I’m interested in spiritual things like yoga,” she explained.
She also showed off a large kitchen with green tiles, a colorful rug, and a long dining table for entertaining.
“I like cooking for people,” she revealed to the YouTuber. “When I cook for people, I want them to feel nourished.”
Although Simpson claimed cooking was a “motherly” trait, the “Boogie Nights” star pointed out that she doesn’t have any children.
“People always ask (about kids),” Graham said. “I feel like people are like, ‘Why don’t women want to have kids?'” I feel like the younger generation is a little more open-minded about it. ”
The only downside to her spacious abode is probably her “dream closet” — and the reason for that is surprising.
“This is like a dream closet, mainly because people have walk-in closets, but they don’t have a skylight above them to shine light on,” she said of the space to store her memorable Sartoria items.
“The only downside is that sometimes it hits your clothes and damages them, kind of like a sunburn.”
Still, she recently confessed that she’s “proud” of the life and career she’s built for herself, enjoying the best parts of the East and West Coasts.
“I live in Los Angeles in a house I bought last year. I also have a loft in New York,” she said in a 2024 Wall Street Journal interview, adding that her Los Angeles home has stunning “views of the Pacific Ocean.”
“I love the ocean,” she continued. “I also like to sit outside when I’m writing or preparing for a movie. Nature gives me inspiration.”
