Kim Kardashian and Ray J have reportedly reached a secret settlement in 2023 over their infamous 2007 sex tape.
The agreement, a copy of which was obtained by TMZ on Friday, was signed by the couple and their respective mothers, Kris Jenner and Sonya Norwood.
This is the same settlement that Ray J claimed violated when he sued them in November 2025 for discussing sex tapes on Hulu’s “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”
The “One Wish” singer reportedly paid $6 million to sign the contract.
The agreement, titled “Confidential Settlement Agreement and Mutual Public Disclosure,” states that the parties have agreed to resolve all past and future claims, disputes, causes of action, defenses and alleged losses related to the sex tape.
Additionally, the terms of the agreement reportedly said the four agreed not to “disparage or disparage the character, reputation, integrity, honesty, business or business practices” of each other.
TMZ also reported that the deal absolves Disney and Hulu from liability. (Disney owns Hulu, which airs “Kardashians”).
Page Six has reached out to representatives for Kardashian and Ray J for comment.
In his lawsuit against Kardashian and Jenner, Ray J claimed that they were the ones who released the sex tape, a claim that first made headlines in 2022.
He also claimed that Kardashian, Kris, Kanye West and Kendall Jenner breached their 2023 agreement when they discussed the sex tape on their Hulu reality show “nearly immediately after the deal was signed,” according to court documents obtained by Page Six in November.
“We will not allow Kardashian and (Kris) to weaponize the justice system, evade contractual obligations, and sacrifice it on the altar of fame,” Ray J’s attorneys argued in the filing.
The R&B singer’s lawsuit follows the mother-daughter duo’s defamation suit in October 2025 after Ray J claimed he was cooperating with federal authorities to file RICO lawsuits against both women.
The reality stars claimed in court documents that “no such federal investigation exists.”
In separate court documents obtained by Page Six earlier this month, Kardashian and Kris denied Ray J’s claims that he orchestrated the release of the sex tape.
Chris said in a statement that Ray J’s allegations were “extremely offensive and harmful.”
“As a mother, I am completely heartbroken, devastated and devastated to see my daughter in this situation where her most intimate and private moments are exposed for the world to see,” the mother added.
In Kardashian’s declaration, she said she spent money to combat Ray J’s false claims, including going to therapy and working with communications, legal and strategic advisors.
In response, Ray J claimed that his ex-boyfriend and his girlfriend’s mother were “completely lying about everything.”
“The fact of the matter is, if you lie like that under oath, don’t you go to jail? Don’t you get fined?” he told TMZ.
Ray J and Kardashian dated on and off from 2003 to 2006, but a sex tape was leaked a year after they broke up.
