Sarah Michelle Gellar and her Ready or Not 2: Here I Come co-stars were forced to evacuate their Paris hotel on Wednesday due to a terrifying fire.
TMZ reports that the cast, including Elijah Wood and Kathryn Newton, were promoting their new film at the Bristol Hotel in Paris when a fire broke out in the hotel’s kitchen.
The newspaper said the fire broke out during a press conference for the film, and the entire hotel, including 400 guests, was evacuated.
A hotel representative confirmed the mass evacuation in a statement to Entertainment Weekly and said all guests were safe.
Officials say the fire has been completely extinguished and extinguished, and all guests have returned.
“The hotel has now reopened, along with all of its stores except 114 Faubourg,” the statement said.
While the cast of the film have made no mention of the fire on social media, Newton, 29, seemed unconcerned and posted a video on Instagram of himself posing in what appears to be the hotel.
“Ready or Not 2: Here I Come” is the sequel to 2019’s “Ready or Not.” Samara Weaving reprises her role as Grace, and according to the film’s synopsis, she and her sister Faith (played by Newton) must defeat four rival families vying for the powerful throne.
This horror-comedy movie will be released on March 27th.
Gellar, 48, recently mourned the death of her Buffy the Vampire Slayer co-star Nicholas Brendon, who died Friday at age 54.
Geller played the iconic protagonist Buffy Summers on the popular series, which ran for seven seasons. Brendon played one of her best friends, Xander Harris.
“‘They’ll never know how hard it is to be the unchosen one,'” Geller wrote on Instagram, citing Brendon’s character. “‘Live near the spotlight and never step into the spotlight. But I know: I see more than anyone realizes because no one is looking at me.'”
She added: “I met Nicki and I know she’s at peace in her big rocking chair in the sky.”
