The Bachelorette season will air as scheduled after Taylor Frankie Paul was embroiled in domestic violence allegations with ex-girlfriend Dakota Mortensen.
Variety reported on Monday that the investigation into the incident “will have no impact” on the show’s release schedule or coverage plans.
Page Six has reached out to ABC for comment.
Paul, 31, will star in Season 22 of The Bachelorette, which premieres on Sunday, March 22nd.
After doing press in New York City this week, she is scheduled to attend a premiere event in Los Angeles over the weekend.
People magazine confirmed Monday that production on Season 5 of Hulu’s hit series “Secrets of Mormon Wives” has been paused due to Paul’s domestic violence allegations.
“They are not filming,” a source told the outlet.
“There’s something pretty serious going on with Taylor’s (Frankie Paul) past and they’ll see what happens. They’ll take a break until that’s resolved,” the source added.
A spokesperson for the Draper City, Utah, Police Department said “contacts with those involved occurred on the 24th and 25th (of February)” in the case, noting that the charges were “a two-way street.”
Paul spoke to People magazine on Tuesday during a press preview for The Bachelorette, breaking his silence on the drama.
“It’s tough, just the timing,” the reality star said.
She continued, “Every single premiere I’ve been to, I feel like I’ve never fully enjoyed it. So this is another premiere…It’s been so hard and it took everything to get here today.”
Paul, who described the situation as “unfortunate”, also acknowledged that she is “struggling” but is still determined to “show up, even when it’s difficult”.
The TikToker and Mortensen, 33, dated from 2022 to 2024 and have a 1-year-old son, Ever.
In the season 4 finale of SLOMW, it was revealed that Paul and Mortensen were dating the night before he left to film The Bachelorette.
In a confessional, Mortensen said, “I’m not going to talk to her for probably two months now that she’s leaving. I’d be lying if there wasn’t a part of me that just wants to go…I want to see her (and) be with her, maybe for the last time.”
Paul was arrested on domestic violence charges in 2023 after an argument with Mortensen.
She allegedly threw a chair at Mortensen, which hit her daughter Indi, 8, and was later charged with misdemeanor charges of assault in the presence of a child, criminal mischief and domestic violence.
However, during an appearance on “Call Her Daddy” in 2025, she said that “all charges in the incident have been dropped.”
