One of Bill O’Reilly’s most infamous lines becomes the title of what he sure hopes will be a popular new venture.
“We’re going to do it LIVE!” Mr. O’Reilly once yelled from behind the desk at Inside Edition, the syndicated news magazine he anchored before taking on Fox News Channel’s long-running prime-time show. His screams were the result of a technical accident on set, and the show had to end in real time, rather than in the recorded portion. The incident went viral over the years thanks to its preservation on YouTube and other digital media.
Now, that loud cry is a rallying cry for a new podcast.
“We’ll Do It LIVE” features weekly conversations between O’Reilly and a wide range of celebrities and journalists. The new show is being produced by Red Seat Ventures, a digital content production studio that Fox acquired in February 2025. The company is also working with two former Fox News Channel personalities, Megyn Kelly and Tucker Carlson. They’re launching their own shows at a time when many consumers are gravitating toward podcasts and YouTube shows that aren’t produced under the auspices of major media outlets. Fox Corp. has formed multiple partnerships with content creators and influencers in recent months, leveraging partnerships with Fox News Media, Fox Sports, Fox Broadcasting and Tubi, among others.
O’Reilly said he is leveraging modern distribution to revive favorite concepts from the past. “What we’re trying to do here is bring back the legendary Mike Wallace’s first program. It was called ‘Night Beat,'” he says. “It was about Wallace asking celebrities all sorts of unexpected questions. This show has been largely forgotten, but it was great, and we want to bring it back in a very entertaining way.”
The podcast debuts the same week as a similar concept by Sean Hannity, O’Reilly’s former colleague at FOX News. Hannity’s “Hang Out” also features interviews with the host and various celebrities.
In the premiere episode, O’Reilly will sit down with former “Saturday Night Live” cast member, actor, activist and provocateur Rob Schneider to discuss comedy, SNL, Donald Trump, the death of late night TV, religion and more.
“We’re going to do a LIVE!” It will be broadcast for the first time on Thursday, March 12th. New episodes are released every Thursday on YouTube, major podcast platforms, BillOReilly.com, and First TV, the conservative opinion site featuring O’Reilly, Sean Spicer, Dana Roesch, and more. BillOReilly.com subscribers also get access to exclusive previews of each episode, as well as bonus material, behind-the-scenes footage, and expanded interviews.
Mr. O’Reilly has remained in the media industry since leaving Fox News in 2017 following revelations that five women had been paid about $13 million in exchange for agreeing not to sue or talk about accusations of sexual harassment or inappropriate behavior. Mr O’Reilly denied the allegations. In addition to launching his own No Spin News, which is available by subscription, he frequently appears on Nexstar Media’s NewsNation cable network.
Mr. O’Reilly is the executive producer of the new podcast, and Josh Hammer, co-author of Mr. O’Reilly’s book “Confronting Evil,” is serving as co-executive producer along with Nicole Casey, executive producer of O’Reilly’s “No Spin News.”
