Nicola Peltz awkwardly dodged questions about the ongoing family feud between husband Brooklyn Beckham and his parents David and Victoria.
When asked how she has overcome media coverage of her husband’s family drama, the “Bates Motel” star turned her attention back to her upcoming ballet film “Prima.”
“I’ve been editing my next film (‘Prima’) for the past two-and-a-half weeks, so to be honest, I’ve been in the editing room the whole time. I didn’t even have a weekend and I was just trying to meet the[Cannes]deadline,” Peltz, 31, told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview published Thursday.
“And it’s so great to focus on that and be creative. It was really fun to do that and I’m really looking forward to seeing this work come out.”
In January, Brooklyn released a lengthy and scathing statement against her famous mother and father, making her feelings towards her family clear through social media, saying she did not want to reconcile with them.
In a statement, Victoria and David claimed that they had tried to ruin their relationship with Peltz over the years, including by bringing women from Peltz’s past into their lives.
Brooklyn also accused her mother of sabotaging the young couple’s 2022 wedding in Palm Beach by canceling at the last minute to make Peltz’s dress and “hijacking” their first dance at the reception.
David and Victoria have yet to respond to the allegations.
In the latest update, Brooklyn celebrated her 27th birthday by sharing a special wish from her parents on social media, despite the chef’s request for no contact with her family.
“27 years old today 🥹 Happy Birthday Bast 🤍. We love you,” the retired soccer pro wrote alongside a throwback photo of his son.
“Happy Birthday Brooklyn, we love you so much ❤️,” the Spice Girls alum captioned another message.
Brooklyn did not comment publicly on her parents’ messages. But he thanked Ms. Peltz on social media, and Ms. Peltz celebrated her husband’s birthday with a touching display of gold balloons, flowers, presents and a box of pink donuts that read “Happy Birthday, Brooklyn.”
After Peltz shared the intimate moment on Instagram, Brooklyn raved about the “Lola” star in the comments, writing, “My baby girl xxx.”
