A+E Global Media wants to step up its efforts to help advertisers create bespoke content for their media properties.
The company, jointly managed by Disney and Hearst, is launching Storyground, a studio aimed at helping advertisers create bespoke content for A+E outlets, including History, A&E, Lifetime and more.
“Last year, we introduced A+E Global Media to fully reflect the depth and breadth of our company. We are a multifaceted global media and entertainment company, reflected in the strength and scale of our content, talent, and global platform. Today, we continue to evolve on that foundation, with our most popular titles. World-class talent chooses our trusted brands as a home to tell their stories, and it’s that passion mixed with purpose that keeps viewers coming back to us again and again.” President and Chairman of A+E Global Media. “With the launch of Storyground, we are further strengthening our expertise as premium and innovative storytellers, deepening audience engagement and creating meaningful value for our partners.”
The company announced the new feature Wednesday as part of its “upfront” pitch to advertisers. In “advanced” sales markets, advertisers strive to sell a large portion of their commercial inventory in advance of the release of the next programming cycle.
“Storyground will greatly enhance the premium high-touch service we have been providing to our clients.
says Juliana Stock, President of Marketing and Digital at A+E Global Media.
Over the years, A+E Global Networks has created some outstanding content initiatives for advertisers such as KFC and Chili’s, and the launch of the studio aims to accelerate those efforts. Storyground aims to create unique and creative concepts across linear, digital and social media to drive results that traditional advertising cannot inspire.
Toby Byrne, president of media solutions at A+E Global Media, said: “Because we are small and agile, we are able to move faster in many ways, which sets us apart from large media companies.” “We strongly believe that premium content drives innovative solutions for advertisers.”
A+E Global Media also announced new initiatives to forge strategic alliances with leading content creators to complement key genres and brands. As part of the initiative, creators will work with brands to support collaborations around marketing, digital, and partnership efforts. Creators use A+E’s digital networks as well as their own social platforms. The company expects to reveal more influencer and creator partnerships in the coming weeks.
