COL Group and BeLive Holdings unveiled what they call the world’s first fully integrated “Microdrama in a Box” solution at Hong Kong Filmart, combining cloud-based software infrastructure and access to what the companies bill as the world’s largest curated microdrama catalog.
The deal combines Yeon Studios, BeLive’s enterprise microdrama distribution platform, and COL’s premium microdrama IP pipeline into one commercial package. According to the companies, it will be the first technology and content offering in this area to be offered as an integrated product. The selling point is speed and simplicity. Partners can have a fully branded and operational Microdrama platform up and running within a month.
The solution bundles a wide range of technology and content capabilities, from playback infrastructure and audience retention tools to monetization options, AI-powered subtitles and commerce capabilities, all combined with COL’s regularly updated slate of titles.
“This is a powerful combination of technology and content at exactly the right time,” said Timothy Oh, general manager of COL Group International. “By packaging enterprise-grade software as a service (SaaS) and the world’s largest microdrama catalog into one integrated solution, we are removing operational complexity for our partners.”
Latif Sim, executive director of BLive Holdings, said the partnership signals broader ambitions. “This partnership with COL Group is about more than just launching a product. It’s about launching a new model for the story economy. Together, we will transform microdramas from platform-dependent content to owned, scalable infrastructure.”
The service is directly targeted at markets outside the US and China, where appetite for microdramas is growing, but its building blocks – content libraries, platform infrastructure and operational know-how – remain out of reach for many potential entrants, including broadcasters, mobile operators and streaming services.
COL Group, one of the pioneers of the microdrama format in China, has since expanded its footprint to the United States through its FlareFlow platform. Nasdaq-listed BeLive Holdings develops scalable digital and video infrastructure with capabilities across live and video commerce, AI-driven video technology, and data intelligence platforms.
The companies will host a masterclass titled “How to Launch a Successful Microdrama Platform in 30 Days” at FilMart, which will educate attendees on market data, practical launch roadmaps, and monetization and expansion strategies for emerging geographies.
