After a 16-season hiatus, the popular medical comedy “Scrubs” returns for its nine-episode 10th season tonight, February 25, on ABC.
According to ABC’s official logline for the season premiere, “John ‘JD’ Dorian unexpectedly returns to Sacred Heart and is reunited with faces old and new.”
Zach Braff reprises his role as JD, and Donald Faison returns as JD’s best friend Turk. Sarah Chalke and John C. McGinley, who played major roles in the first nine seasons of Scrubs, are also set to return for season 10.

According to Braff and Faison on the podcast “Fake Doctors, Real Friends,” the reboot season will have nine episodes. After tonight’s two-episode premiere, one new episode will air Wednesdays at 8pm ET.

John C. McGinley and Judy Reyes will reprise their roles as Dr. Perry Cox and Dr. Carla Espinosa, respectively, in recurring parts. Robert Maschio, Phil Lewis, Neil Flynn, and Christa Miller have also been confirmed to appear in the reboot.
New cast members for Season 10 include Vanessa Bayer, Joel Kim Booster, Eva Bang, Jacob Dudman, David Gridley, Leila Mohammadi, and Amanda Morrow.
