Prince William and Duchess Kate looked stunning at the 2026 BAFTAs in their first joint appearance since former Prince Andrew was arrested earlier this week.
On Sunday, the royal couple walked the red carpet with brave faces for the cameras.
The Prince of Wales, 43, looked dapper in a Giorgio Armani burgundy velvet evening jacket and black trousers as he smiled at photographers.
Meanwhile, Middleton wore the same red Gucci dress she wore to the 100 Women in Finance charity gala dinner in 2019. For accessories, the 44-year-old wore earrings and carried a small clutch. She styled her hair in loose curls.
Mr William, who is chairman of the British Academy Film Awards, and Mr Middleton did not stop speaking to reporters on their way to the Royal Festival Hall.
It was the first time the couple have appeared together since Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was detained, but the Princess of Wales, who is also a patron of the Rugby Football Union and Rugby Football League, attended the Six Nations match between England and Ireland in London on Saturday.
She was seen sitting next to injured English player Finn Baxter in the stands, all smiles on her face.
The photo showed the mother-of-three wearing an England scarf over a blue suit and styling her hair in loose curls for the event.
Mountbatten-Windsor was released from prison on Thursday, on her 66th birthday, after being arrested in connection with sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
He was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in office after allegedly forwarding confidential trade documents to Epstein while serving as Britain’s trade envoy.
The arrest comes almost a month after anti-monarchy campaigner Graham Smith was reported to Thames Valley Police for alleged misconduct.
If convicted, the former prince could face up to life in prison.
Hours later, the humiliated royal was caught trying to hide from cameras in the back seat of a car after being released from Aylsham Police Station.
King Charles, who is said to have not been informed of his brother’s arrest in advance, issued a statement on the scandal on Thursday, reacting to news of his brother’s arrest with “deep concern”.
“I am deeply concerned to learn of the news regarding Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and the allegations of misconduct in public office,” he began in a statement released by Buckingham Palace.
“There will now be a full, fair and appropriate process whereby this matter is investigated in an appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities. As I have previously stated, the authorities have their full and wholehearted support and cooperation in this regard.”
“Let me be clear: the law should move in that direction,” the monarch added. “As this process continues, it would be inappropriate for me to comment further on this matter. In the meantime, my family and I will continue our duty and service to you.”
