Eric Dane was the proud father of a baby girl.
The “Euphoria” actor passed away at the age of 53 on February 19, 2026, after a battle with ALS, leaving behind two daughters with his wife Rebecca Gayheart.
The couple welcomed their first daughter, Billie Beatrice Dane, in March 2010.
Their second daughter, Georgia Geraldine Dane, was born in December 2011.
Dane, who lost her father to suicide when she was young, told People in 2020 of her daughters, “I didn’t have a family, and now I do.”
“I know I’m a very lucky man,” he added.
Dane and Gayheart separated in 2018 after 13 years of marriage, but called off their divorce in March 2025, one month before the “Grey’s Anatomy” alum revealed his ALS diagnosis.
Gayheart said she withdrew the divorce papers to teach her daughters to “show up for the family.”
“We tell them, ‘We’re going to show up for people no matter what. He’s our family. He’s your father,'” Gayheart explained on the Broad Ideas podcast in November 2025.
While Dane is recovering from ALS, Gayheart said Billy and Georgia are “really suffering.”
“We have professional therapists who help us,” the “Nip/Tuck” actress told People in September 2025, adding that her daughters are “taking it day by day.”
Meanwhile, Dane told Diane Sawyer in June 2025 that she felt her daughters were being “taken away” from her because of her diagnosis.
“My father was taken away from me when I was young, and now there is a strong possibility that I will be taken from my daughters at an early age,” he said.
When announcing Dane’s death, the family called Billy and Georgia “the center of his world.”
Below are Dane’s two daughters.

Billy was born on March 3, 2010.
Before Billy arrived, Dane talked about his plans for the birth of his first daughter.
“I’m in the room,” he said on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” in February 2010. “I’m going to be close to my wife and make sure she’s okay.”
“I’m really excited. I’m also very interested,” he added.
Dane said at the time that she was thinking of a name for her first child, but “Rebecca wants to wait until we meet before naming her.”
The “Charmed” actor later spoke about how he chose Billy’s name on Harry Connick Jr.’s talk show in 2016.
“(Billy’s) name was after my father…Boy or girl, the firstborn was supposed to be Billy,” he explained.
In June 2024, Gayheart celebrated Billy’s graduation from middle school.
“Officially, you’re a high school student!” she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of Billy receiving his diploma. “It doesn’t seem possible yet, but I know you’re ready for the next chapter.”
“I’ve watched you juggle school, ballet, and life with tenacity, grace, and humor,” the proud mom continued. “You are as beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside. Billy, I am so proud of you and will always love you. I hope you take a break and enjoy your summer.”
Billy has walked the red carpet with his parents many times. That includes attending the 2022 Chrysalis Butterfly Ball with his mother and attending the Bad Boys: Ride of Die premiere in May 2024 with his father and sister.
Georgia Geraldine Dane
Georgia was born on December 28, 2011.
“Rebecca and Eric welcomed Georgia Geraldine Dane on Wednesday, December 28th, just in time for the New Year,” a rep for the couple told People at the time.
“Both mom and baby girl are happy and healthy. Billie is excited to become a big sister and dad is preparing for a house full of women!” the statement added.
While pregnant with Georgia, Gayheart said she felt less “neurotic.”
“What’s different is that I’m so focused on Billie…so I’m not so focused on[the pregnancy],” she told People magazine four months before Georgia was born.
Ms Gayheart also admitted that having two children would be “a big deal”, but insisted she was ready for the task.
“It’s going to be great in the end because they’re close in age and they’re going to get along really well, so hopefully,” she said.
Dane talked about Georgia in a 2024 interview with Variety and shared a question she asked him about “Grey’s Anatomy.”
“A few years ago, when my 12-year-old daughter started watching this movie, she looked at me and said, ‘Dad, where did your abs go?’ She was serious. She wasn’t joking,” he told the outlet.
Georgia’s father, who was battling ALS, appeared in public in a wheelchair.
In November 2025, the pair and Gayheart enjoyed a family vacation at West Hollywood hotspot Sushi Park.
