Barry Manilow has postponed his scheduled concert in Las Vegas as he focuses on his health.
The 82-year-old music icon announced Wednesday that he will be rescheduling his Feb. 12 to Feb. 21 residency shows at Westgate Las Vegas after undergoing surgery for a lung cancer diagnosis.
Manilow said in a statement on Instagram: “Post-surgery progress is good and he is recovering well.” “I’m working out and spending time in the studio, which is great.”
“However, with the guidance and recommendation of our doctors, we have decided to postpone our Westgate Las Vegas dates from February 12th to February 21st so that we can focus on healing and preparing for our tour, which begins at the end of February,” the “Copacabana” singer continued.
“My doctor told me to take a few weeks off and prepare!” he added in a statement.
Manilow also said tickets for the postponed Vegas show will be refunded.
Manilow is next scheduled to take the stage on Feb. 27 at the Benchmark International Arena in Tampa, Fla., before returning to Westgate Las Vegas for three nights at the end of March.
His 2026 Farewell Tour continues through April 29th, with the final show at GasSouth Arena in Duluth, Georgia.
Manilow announced in December that doctors discovered a cancerous spot in his left lung that required surgery.
“It was pure luck (and great doctors) that it was caught this early,” Manilow told fans. “That’s good news.”
The Grammy winner explained that although doctors were fairly certain his cancer had not spread, he was undergoing tests “to confirm the diagnosis.”
“That’s it. No chemotherapy, no radiation,” he said. “Just chicken soup and reruns of I Love Lucy.”
However, due to the diagnosis and surgery, Manilow was forced to reschedule the January performance of his Christmas A Gift of Love concert series.
“We are very disappointed to have to change our plans. Like you, we were all looking forward to our January show, and we hate having to change everything,” he said in a December statement.
Last June, Manilow opened up to Billboard about his decision to go on a farewell tour.
“I’m like, ‘What? Am I the only one left?'” he told the outlet. “This is Billy Joel. Elton (John) is unwell, Rod (Stewart) and Neil (Diamond) are fine. I think Diana Ross is still in great shape.”
“I’m sure there are still only a handful of people in my world,” he continued. “I’m still healthy. I’m strong and I still have the voice and energy. The night I don’t hit a natural F on ‘Even Now,’ that’s the night I throw in the towel. But I can still do it.”
