Tving is strengthening its global footprint, deepening its role as an international K-content hub while launching new Korean dramas in Japan and the Asia-Pacific region.

The CJ ENM-owned streaming platform has secured a new lineup of K-dramas to premiere this year and will be released through dedicated sections of the Tving brand on Disney+ Japan and HBO Max across 17 countries and territories in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Tving-branded section is a space focused on K-content curated by streamers for streaming audiences around the world. This initiative marks the first time that Brandhub will feature original series other than Tving produced by external broadcasters, expanding the breadth and diversity of Korean titles available to international viewers.

Representative titles include MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama “The Judge Returns,” produced by OH Story and Slingshot Studio and first broadcast on January 2nd, and JTBC’s upcoming series “The Practical Guide to Love,” produced by SLL and scheduled to be released on February 28th. Both titles will be available exclusively on Tving for local viewers, while being positioned as key productions within Disney+ Japan’s Tving Collection and HBO Max’s Tving-branded hub. Asia Pacific market.

Early audience reactions were positive. According to data shared by CJ ENM, Judge Returns ranked third on Disney+ Japan in its first week of release.

“Beyond original content, Tving is strengthening its role as a global K-content hub that introduces competitive TV series from Korean production companies and broadcasters to audiences around the world,” Tving officials said. “We will continue to promote the distribution and expansion of K content based on global partnerships.”

“We believe in the power of relatable storytelling that K-content can present, which will ultimately resonate as a universal language,” said Sebastian Kim, head of content distribution business at CJ ENM. He added that the company aims to continue expanding opportunities for Korean content to debut around the world by forming “a healthy distribution channel between production studios and global OTT (streaming) platforms.”

Last year, Tving began targeting overseas markets through a brand section expansion strategy based on global partnerships. Starting November 4, 2025, Disney+ Japan will be offering Korean content curated by Tving through the “Tving Collection” and “Recommended Korean Drama” sections. HBO Max also launched Tving-branded hubs in 17 Asia Pacific regions on January 2 this year, featuring exclusive Tving originals and a wide range of content from CJ ENM and Tving.
