Hailee Steinfeld is so proud to have Adam Sandler’s support.
The Sinners star, 29, couldn’t help but get excited about clashing with the famous actor on the red carpet at the Golden Globes.
Steinfeld shared her special encounter with Sandler, 59, in Substack’s Beau Society newsletter, recalling the Jan. 11 event where she “spent the night with my new plus-one and wore a gorgeous Prada dress to reunite with friends I hadn’t seen in years.”

After documenting her reunion with Jennifer Lawrence, she told readers all about her interaction with the Happy Gilmore 2 actor.
“For context, Adam Sandler is a fixture in our house. We watch his movies all the time (the other night was ‘Just Go With It’),” she began.
Steinfeld then admitted, “He also inspired our Halloween costumes a few years ago.”
The Dickinson actress linked her October 2025 Beau Society entry with past photos of her celebrating holidays over the years.
Among the posts was a photo from “a few years ago” of her and her husband, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, dressed up as “Bobby Boucher” and “Vicki Ballencourt.” Sandler and Fairuza Balk each played the characters in the 1998 film The Waterboy.
“So when Adam Sandler waved at me at the entrance to the Globe Theater and said, ‘Hey, buddy! I loved Sinners! You’re doing great. And congratulations, Josh!’ I couldn’t wait to tell my husband,” she wrote.

The couple made their relationship official on Instagram in July 2024, married in May 2025, and announced they were pregnant with their first child in December.
A newsletter shared that same month included a video of Ms. Steinfeld posing in the snow with her stomach exposed and Allen kissing her stomach to reveal her pregnancy.

The Hawkeye actress and sports star smiled while wearing a fleece that said “mother” on it. As the camera panned out, they held hands in front of a small snowman.
Following Beau Society’s announcement, they also shared the news in a joint Instagram post along with the same video. “I love you ❤️,” Allen captioned the clip.
