“Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere” will be available to stream on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ starting January 23rd.

Directed by Scott Cooper, the Bruce Springsteen biopic stars Jeremy Allen White as the legendary singer-songwriter, Jeremy Strong as record producer Jon Landau, Paul Walter Hauser as recording engineer Mike Batlan, David Krumholtz as Columbia Records executive Al Teller, Stephen Graham as Bruce’s father Douglas, Gaby Hoffman as Bruce’s mother Adele, and Odessa Young as Bruce’s imaginary lover Faye. Romano.

The film tells the story of Springsteen writing and recording his sixth studio album, Nebraska. Released in 1982 following five sensational hard rock albums, “Nebraska” was a bold departure from Springsteen’s previous work in favor of a softer folk sound, recorded at home on a 4-track recorder. The album was controversial, as Springsteen did not release singles, did no press or tours, and insisted on maintaining the unrefined sound of his songs, much to the dismay of Columbia Records at first. Nevertheless, the album sold over one million copies and is today hailed as a creative high point in Springsteen’s career. “Nebraska” is also deeply personal to Springsteen, with the film depicting his struggle with depression while making the album.

“Deliver Me From Nowhere” had its world premiere on August 29th at the 52nd Telluride Film Festival in Colorado. It received favorable reviews ahead of its nationwide release on October 24th, ahead of screening at other film festivals. For this role, White was recently nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture or Drama.

20th Century Studios distributed the film. Cooper produced the film along with Ellen Goldsmith-Vane, Eric Robinson, and Scott Stuber.

Hulu also streams “Bruce Springsteen: Nebraska Live” and the documentary “Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band,” making it something of a one-stop shop for fans of the singer.
