“Industry” returned to HBO for Season 4 on Sunday night, with more than 800,000 viewers in its first three days on air, a 20% increase from the drama series’ Season 3 opener in 2024 and the highest-grossing season premiere of all time.

This number was calculated by combining Nielsen measurements of viewership for the HBO cable channel and Warner Bros. Discovery’s own data on streams on HBO Max, and refers to viewership in the U.S. only.

WBD also reports that missed viewing of “Industry” in the week leading up to the Season 4 premiere is up 60% this year compared to the week before the Season 3 premiere, both in the U.S. and internationally.

According to the official logline, “Industry” is “set in the world of international finance as seen through the eyes of ambitious 20-somethings striving to secure their futures. The series follows a group of young graduates as they compete for a limited number of full-time positions at a top London investment bank, but are unable to make a deal. Immersed in a corporate culture defined by sex, drugs, and ego as much as profits, the lines between colleagues, friends, lovers, and enemies quickly become blurred. As the members of the group grow up and fall, they must decide whether life is about more than profit.

Season 4 will see Harper (Maihara) and Yasmin (Marisa Abela) become embroiled in a high-stakes cat-and-mouse game when a flashy fintech darling appears on the London scene. As Harper searches for a relationship with her husband (Kit Harington), she becomes drawn into the orbit of mysterious executive Whitney Halberstrom (Max Minghella). Their twisted friendship begins to warp and flare up under the pressures of money, power, and a desire to be on top.”

Mickey Down and Conrad Kaye created Industry with Jane Tranter, Kate Krauser and Ryan Rasmussen and served as executive producers on Bad Wolf. Kathleen McCaffrey: Little Gems. and the BBC’s Rebecca Ferguson.
