DDA, a global content PR corporate communications firm, has made two key hires in Los Angeles.

Matt Andre Wiltens (above, right) joins the company from talent agency Gersh in the role of senior vice president of U.S. entertainment and strategy. Ryan Smith (left) has been named director of domestic film and series accounts.

“Matt brings a rare combination of creative vision, operational expertise and extensive industry connections, establishing himself as a trusted advisor to some of the industry’s hottest executives and creators,” said DDA Partner Dana Archer, speaking on behalf of the board. “Ryan is a highly respected and well-connected film and television publicist whose leadership and passion for storytelling will be brought to DDA. Both are seasoned professionals with a passion for film and will fit seamlessly into our culture as we continue to expand in the United States.”

Andre Wiltens has a deep film background spanning decades in in-house studios, production companies and agencies, including communications, film PR, awards, brand building and marketing. He works at Gersh as head of global corporate communications and will be handing over the agency to DDA as a client. Prior to joining Gersh, she served as vice president of marketing and communications at Amblin Partners, where she led award-winning campaigns for “1917,” “The Fabelmans,” “Green Book,” and “West Side Story,” working closely with Steven Spielberg, Sam Mendes, and major distributors. He began his career at Paramount, where he spent 10 years in PR and marketing for international and global brand strategies.

Mr. Smith has spent nearly a decade at R&C and PMK working on campaigns for Apple TV, Lionsgate, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, Angel Studios, AGBO, CJ 4DPLEX, and more, as well as supporting talent public relations and executive awareness campaigns. Mr. Smith will lead the US films and series team in Los Angeles and work directly with Katie Conklin as the team’s counterpart in New York.
