Let me love you (all three).
Ne-Yo explained the “hard work” behind “one relationship with three women” on Wednesday’s episode of “Shelly.”
The 46-year-old “So Sick” singer said he chose to pursue polyamory after his “ugly” divorce from ex-wife Crystal Renee.
“I have decided that I will never lie to a woman again in my life,” he told host Sherri Shepherd. “What I did to ruin my marriage was my responsibility. It was completely my fault. And I decided I never wanted to cause anyone to feel that way again.”
Ne-Yo recalled approaching his longest-term girlfriend and suggesting, “Listen, you know I rock with you. You know I love you, but I have to be honest with you. It’s not just you.”
“I would love to meet other women. If we can find a way to do something together, that would be great,” he continued. “If you don’t, that’s fine too.”
When everyone “chose to stay put,” the group found a way to “make it all work.”
She added, “Everyone has personal time, but group time is just as important as individual time.”
When it comes to holidays like Valentine’s Day, Ne-Yo made it clear that he won’t give his partner a “blanket” gift.
“We have to make sure that each of them receives a gift that is appropriate for them,” the songwriter said. “We decide together where we go and what we do. We go to one restaurant, a concert, whatever we do.”
When Shepard, 58, said this seemed like “more work than one woman doing alone,” Ne-Yo clapped back, saying, “I’ve never been afraid of hard work.”
He also clarified that while his girlfriend can’t “date other men,” he didn’t mandate this, but “gave him exclusivity…that’s it.”
Ne-Yo revealed his polyamorous relationship in March 2025, at the time dating Ariel Hill, Breonna Williams, Christina, and Monáe.
“Since the world is so intrigued, I thought I should properly introduce my loved ones. Ladies and gentlemen, I present you my pyramid,” he wrote on Instagram at the time. “We are happy here.”
The cast declined to say Wednesday which of the four women are no longer in the photo.
