Justin and Hailey Bieber have come to the defense of a TikTokker who claims they had an “abusive marriage” fueled by the singer’s alleged “drug addiction.”
According to TMZ, the couple’s attorney, Evan Spiegel, has filed a restraining order against social media user Julie Theis, accusing her of “fabricating” stories about their marriage.
In a letter obtained by the outlet, Spiegel wrote that the psychologist is suspected of using TikTok to spread “egregious false, fabricated and defamatory statements that[she]made and spread online.”
He also claimed that she “concocted, published and widely disseminated false and defamatory stories about our clients and their marriages,” noting that her “conduct was unwarranted, highly damaging, potentially litigious, and exposed (her) to significant liability.”
Spiegel went on to demand that the video in question be removed “immediately” and that posts alleging that the Beavers were in an abusive relationship cease. If she does not do so, the couple will have no choice “but to protect their rights and remedies against you.”
The lawyer concluded the letter by reminding Tice to “act at your peril” and “govern yourself accordingly.”
The influencer later spoke out on social media about the cease and desist letter, which she claims was sent to her to “silence and intimidate” her. She went on to defend her first video, saying she was just sharing her opinion and that she was “legally” entitled to do so.
“Just because you’re angry about people’s opinions doesn’t give you the right to have their voices heard,” she said in the video, going on to call the letter “elitist” and a “rich man’s tantrum.”
TikTokker pointed out that her video is a “clearly opinionated commentary on relationship dynamics and power.”
She also shared several clips targeting Hailey, including one of her lounging on the beach with the caption, “Anything for a girl.”
In another clip, Tice opens up over audio of the infamous fight between “The Real Housewives of Orange County” stars Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge, who shout at each other about their opinions.
Wanting to really send a message to herself, she resurfaced a 2019 Instagram post written by the “Daisy” singer in which he admitted to using hard drugs since age 19, “(abusing) all of[his]relationships,” being “resentful and disrespectful to women” and “angry.”
She tried to clear Justin, 31, of his suspicions by saying he could have changed his ways, but reflected on his comments about Hailey when he appeared on the cover of Vogue magazine.
In May 2025, he admitted on Instagram that he told his wife of nearly eight years that he would never be on the cover, but she managed to prove him wrong.
After receiving the letter, Tice told TMZ that she was concerned that the Beavers were trying to silence her free speech rights, and that she was allowed to express her opinions without legal threat.
“Trying to silence people just because they disagree is extremely elitist. Disagreement is not defamation,” she told the outlet, adding that she has received death threats since the drama began.
Page Six has reached out to Hailey and Justin’s representatives and attorneys for comment, but did not receive any comment at the time of publication.
The drama between the Bieber couple and Tyce began after Hailey, 29, claimed in a video about their relationship that she was a “tolerant codependent” wife who tolerated “abuse” in their marriage.
Hailey was then accused of resharing the video to her own social media accounts, and was subsequently forced to shut down the report on social media.
“I know you guys living on the internet are really bored, but I didn’t repost the video talking about my relationship,” she wrote via Instagram Stories on Saturday.
“Have a wonderful Saturday!”
The model and Justin, who also share son Jack Bruce, 1, married in 2018. However, they are constantly forced to shut down rumors of a breakup that have been rampant for many years.
However, a representative for the “Baby” singer denied the “exhausting and pathetic” accusations, telling TMZ that “people are dedicated to keeping negative, vile and harmful narratives alive.”
The spokesperson also claimed that Justin and Hailey have been in good spirits since welcoming their son.
At the time, a source also defended the Grammy winner’s recent appearances, explaining that she was spending endless hours in the recording studio while caring for her son.
