Bob the Drag Queen’s new comedy special, “This Is Wild,” will be available on Hulu on January 16th.
The comedian and drag performer, whose real name is Caldwell Tidycue, is best known for winning Season 8 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Her New Hour is produced by Comedy Dynamics and directed by the company’s founder and CEO Brian Volk Weiss, who serves as executive producer along with Bob and Cisco Henson.
“Bob’s new special is really entertaining from start to finish,” Volk Weiss said. “Bob is one of those performers who seemed born for the stage, and that shines through in her new special.”
“This Is Wild” joins Hulu’s lineup of specials known as Hularious, which also includes starring time from Sebastian Maniscalco, Bill Burr, Ilana Glazer, Kumail Nanjiani, Jim Gaffigan, and more.
Bob has previously announced two full-length comedy specials: 2020’s Live at the Carolines and 2023’s Wake Man in a Dress. She has also worked on several television specials: 2017’s “Suspiciously Large Woman” and 2019’s “Crazy Black Lady.”
Her unscripted HBO series “We’re Here” won a Peabody Award, a GLAAD Media Award, and a Television Academy Award. He also won a Queerty Award and a GLAAD Media Award for his podcast “Sibling Rivalry” with Monét X Change, and recently helped launch a new podcast called “Quit Playin'” through his Purse First Studios banner. Bob has also guest-starred on The Traitor, Doctor Odyssey, and The Simpsons, and has published a novel titled Harriet Tubman: Live in Concert.
Bob is preparing to embark on a spring and summer comedy tour while working on a brand new time. She is repped by UTA and managed by Producer Entertainment Group (PEG) and Shore Fire Media.
