Hailey Bieber has denied rumors that she reposted a fan video labeling Justin Bieber as a “permissive codependent” wife who tolerates “abuse” in her marriage.
“I know you guys living on the internet are really bored, but I didn’t repost the video talking about my relationship,” the Lorde founder wrote via Instagram Stories on Saturday.
“Have a wonderful Saturday!” she added.
Shortly before, Hailey, 29, was accused of reposting a female TikToker’s video. “Most of the long-term relationships we romance and celebrate only work because the woman is a forgiving codependent.”
“And when I say tolerant, I mean that she tolerates mediocrity and abuse, and takes on most of the domestic and emotional labor in exchange for a romantic relationship,” the woman continued.
“And that’s a deal I opt out of. There’s no better example than Hailey Bieber and Justin Bieber.”
The woman also accused Justin of being an “addict”, adding: “You can’t be a good partner or an equal partner when you’re addicted.”
“In my opinion, an addict’s partner is always an abusive partner,” she continued, explaining that Hailey was likely “tolerating” the alleged “abuse.”
In the comments section, fans claimed Hailey reposted the video, with one fan writing: “That’s impossible.”
Another added: “Hailey’s repost is crazy.”
Some people claimed they came across the video because they saw a businessman repost it on his account.
However, some people came to Hailey’s defense, suggesting that she may have shared the video by mistake.
The model and Justin, 31, married in 2018 and are parents to one-year-old son Jack Bruce.
The couple has continually maintained a united front despite being at the forefront of breakup rumors over the years.
Meanwhile, Justin has sparked concerns over his behavior over the past year and has recently been at the center of rumors of drug abuse.
However, a representative for the “Baby” singer denied the “exhausting and pathetic” accusations, telling TMZ that “people are dedicated to keeping negative, vile and harmful narratives alive.”
The spokesperson also claimed that Justin and Hailey have been in good spirits since welcoming their son.
At the time, a source also defended the Grammy winner’s recent appearances, explaining that she was spending endless hours in the recording studio while caring for her son.
