What you need to know
There’s nothing more fun than shopping your own closet. Especially if you’re Ali Larter.
The Landman star, 49, attended the 2026 Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday, January 4, and spoke to PEOPLE about playing firecracker housewife Angela in the western. While filming Season 2, which is currently airing on Paramount+, Larter revealed that he collected souvenirs from the set to take home with him.
“I bought the lady’s cowboy boots, and I also have the Agent Provocateur bra from Episode 7,” she shared of the luxury shoe and lingerie brand. “What else did I steal from her? Oh, nice Wranglers. I’ve got some jeans. I gotta have those.”

The blockbuster Taylor Sheridan series was inspired by a real-life oil boom in West Texas, and stars Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris, an oilman who reconciles with his firecracker ex-wife Angela (Latter).
Since its debut in November 2024, Landman has been a huge hit. Just two weeks after Season 2 premiered late last year, the show has been renewed for Season 3, and Larter told Deadline that he will continue to document Angela and Tommy’s “shenanigans.”
“And as an actress, I will always continue to look for those really grounded, real, probing moments with my co-stars,” she said.
Larter also acknowledged that Sheridan “definitely leaned closer to the family” in season 2, but said, “We also understand the tone of the show.”
“He knows when he wants Angela to come in and deliver the laughs, like a breath of fresh comedy, and then move on to intimate, dramatic scenes with Jacob (Loflan) and Ariana (Paulina Chavez),” she explained. “So I don’t think the formula will change.”

In November, the Legally Blonde alum opened up to PEOPLE about taking on the role of Angela in The Landman, calling it a “freeing” experience.

“Angela lives her life without fear of what other people think. She makes her own rules. And for me, that’s very exciting to play, because I’m not that type of person,” Larter said of the character. “And if you want to fit into societal norms, you can’t be that way in most areas of life.”
Still, the job has its challenges, especially when it comes to certain wardrobe choices.
“Anytime you have to walk in front of someone in a swimsuit, it’s really difficult,” Larter admitted. “When I look around, the sexiest women I know are women who own themselves. So to get there with Angela, it’s also about owning yourself. There’s no room for insecurity in my heart. When I play Angela, I don’t let anything like that into my space.”
