Pamela Anderson previewed her role in Michael Cera’s Love is Not the Answer in an interview with Variety at the WWD Style Awards held at the Regent Santa Monica on Friday. A release date and details have yet to be revealed, but a May announcement promised a “precise yet unpredictable absurdist comedy that veers between hilarity and wistfulness as it explores modern-day loneliness and the search for connection.”
“It was a wild experience, and we just finished it right before the holidays,” Anderson said. “I just went back to blonde (hair) yesterday, so I felt like I was finally able to release that character. So, yeah… you should definitely watch it. I got to play a really interesting woman and I was really excited.”
Anderson has been on a roll since her 2025 Golden Globe-nominated and critically acclaimed performance in The Last Showgirl. In August, he co-starred with Liam Neeson in The Naked Gun, which won the Critics Choice Award for Best Comedy. Amid more laughs, Anderson talked about his personal favorite comedy movies and his style inspirations.
“I love ‘The Jerk.’ It’s my favorite old comedy,” she said. “But I love old movies…I feel like this hairstyle and even[my outfit]was inspired by Jeanne Moreau. I love cinematic looks and old movies, and I’m always inspired by them.”
So far, 2026 is shaping up to be another big season for Anderson. She shot five movies last year. Those projects include Cornel Mundorzo’s drama “Place to Be,” which also stars Ellen Burstyn and Taika Waititi, and “Rosebush Pruning,” directed by Karim Ainouz and starring Elle Fanning, Riley Keough and Callum Turner.
Anderson attended the Style Awards ceremony as the Beauty Icon winner. Other winners at the event included Hailey Bieber (Style Trailblazer), Kourtney Kardashian Barker (Wellness Entrepreneur of the Year) and Omega (Red Carpet Watch of the Year).
George Clooney attended an event where Giorgio Armani, who passed away in September at the age of 91, was honored with the posthumous Red Carpet Visionary honor.
“First of all, I have to meet Giorgio. By the way,[he is]the most handsome designer I’ve ever seen in my life. He always made fun of us when we sat next to him. It’s very strange to be here tonight and accept something for Giorgio, because he should have been here,” Clooney began, adding that Richard Gere should be credited with putting Armani on the map.
“But he didn’t show up, so damn it,” he interjected, before adding with a smile, “That’s the only thing that comes out of this (speech).”
Demi Moore was recognized as this year’s fashion icon, and she credits her stylist Brad Goreski for that.
“I trust you. I know you always have my best interests at heart,” Moore said. “You push me when I need to, but you also listen to me. You listen to what I need and what makes me feel safe.”
She also mentioned what is most important to her in the new year. “My 2026 (goal) is to continue to accept who I am. We don’t have to be different. The most beautiful part of us is being our unique, imperfect selves,” Moore said.
