Weeks after making a bombshell about his sexuality at BravoCon, Kyle Richards has released a rare insight into his love life.
When the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star was asked about dating on Monday’s “Live with Kelly and Mark,” Richards clarified that she was “not the kind of person who would use dating apps.”
“That’s not my style,” the 56-year-old Bravolebrity quipped.
As for how to find a partner, the reality star joked, “They have to come knocking on my door. I don’t think I’ll go out.”
In addition to helping plan her daughter Alexia and Jake Zingerman’s September wedding, Richards said she has been “staying busy with work.”
“I’m fine,” she insisted, adding that her “biggest fear” after splitting from estranged husband Mauricio Umansky was “being alone.”
She reflected, “For a long time, I couldn’t even say the word ‘single’ because I was a wife and a mother. That was my entire identity.”
However, the actress realized that she was “actually pretty good at being alone.”
Richards and Umansky, 55, separated in the summer of 2023. The former couple has not yet filed for divorce.
Umansky has been romantically involved with a number of women since their split, and the Buying Beverly Hills star has recently been spotted packing on the PDA with F-Boy Island star Celisa “CJ” Franco.
Richards sparked rumors of a relationship with singer Morgan Wade in 2023, but has repeatedly insisted they are “very close” friends amid speculation about his sexuality.
In the trailer for season 15 of RHOBH, which aired at BravoCon last month, Richards seemed to hint at his bisexuality by saying, “I could be Brad (Pitt) or I could be Angelina (Jolie).”
The “Little House on the Prairie” alum later told Variety that she made the comment “to make (her co-stars) laugh,” and noted that while she “doesn’t like being labeled,” “people can think whatever they want.”
Richards continued, “I’m growing and evolving and opening up. So, I don’t know. I don’t know what the future holds right now. And I’m okay with that.”
When reporters told Ms. Richards that they were both lesbians, she replied, “Ha! That never occurred to me in my life. And now I feel like it’s totally an option. Honestly, I’m just here to see what life has in store for me.”
She added, “I don’t want to be defined by anyone. Whatever happens, happens and that’s okay. I also like being alone.”
Elsewhere in the interview, the “Halloween” star referred to Umansky as “tall, dark and handsome.”
The pair married in 1996, four years after Richards’ first marriage to ex-husband Gleish Aljufri ended.
