Third time’s the charm.
Kathy Griffin appeared on the Good Guys podcast on Monday and revealed the shocking amount she paid to get her third facelift. The 65-year-old comedian said he paid $218,000.
“It wasn’t cheap,” she admitted.
“Do you know how many bad jokes I have to tell for $218,000?” she continued joking. “We have to do at least two shows.”
Griffin said that while the facelift was expensive, she had heard that six or seven surgeons in Beverly Hills, Calif., could charge up to $1 million for the procedure. She said she couldn’t afford to pay that much and revealed that her surgery was performed by Kris Jenner’s last plastic surgeon. This is not Dr. Stephen Levine, who performed Jenner’s most recent cosmetic surgery.
“It’s not a million ponytails, because they do this thing that they now call ponytails. I don’t know if they shave the top of their head, but they pull it up all over their face, as if they had a high ponytail,” she explained.
“And it’s called a ponytail, and Chris got it,” she continued.
Griffin confirmed in August on the podcast “Talk Your Head Off” that she had undergone her third facelift. She sent a shoutout to Beverly Hills-based surgeon Dr. Ben Talei.
“I had a facelift and to be honest, it hurt,” she said. “And all the bitches who are like, ‘It’s like getting a filling in your tooth! It’s nothing!’ No, it hurts.”
The My Life on the D-List star also admitted that having three facelifts was “a huge waste”.
“I’m so vain for no reason,” she murmured. “No one goes to Kathy Griffin’s show and sees her beautiful, youthful face. You come to hear my jokes. That’s what I want.”
Facelifts have become popular again after Jenner’s youthful appearance became a hot topic. Dr. Levine also appeared at his 70-year-old mom’s star-studded birthday party on Saturday.
Dr. Levine posed with Jenner at a James Bond-themed party held at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s home in Beverly Hills. Celebrities such as Beyonce, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were also in attendance at the party.
