Governor Jennifer Fox of the Academy Producer Branch will once again be in charge of producing the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ 16th Annual Governors Awards, scheduled to be held on November 16th. This is the seventh time Fox has produced the event.
“Jennifer’s expertise in producing the Governors Awards is unparalleled, and we are thrilled to welcome her back as we celebrate four truly outstanding winners and kick off the 98th Oscars event,” Academy President Howell Taylor said in a statement.
This year’s honorary Oscars will go to Debbie Allen, Tom Cruise and Wynne Thomas, while the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award will go to Dolly Parton. The event will be held at Ovation Hollywood’s Ray Dolby Ballroom.

IDA and Manhattan Neighborhood Network begin facility partnership
The International Documentary Association and Manhattan Neighborhood Network have entered into a partnership that gives both organizations access to each other’s events, facilities and communities. Founded in 1992, MNN is a media learning, production, and distribution hub with facilities such as a virtual production studio, two podcast studios, six open editing stations, three closed editing suites, and a closed screening room with a 4K DCP projector, 193-inch screen with surround sound, live streaming, and recording capabilities. On September 20th, IDA members residing in or visiting New York City will have full access to all MNN amenities for free or at: Discounted rates.
As part of the partnership, all MNN members receive a 20% discount on IDA memberships. IDA also plans to host quarterly Work-In-Progress screenings for IDA members to show their work to other members and guests and get feedback. The first IDA Docs-In-Progress event will be held on November 13th.
