Cardi B’s 33rd birthday came off with a shocking bang.
The rap superstar celebrated another trip around the sun on Saturday wearing a burgundy floor-length bandage dress with all-over cutouts that accentuated her growing belly.
The custom look, designed by New York brand Andre DNA, featured straps that crossed over the chest and shoulders, and a strip of fabric that wrapped around the midsection.
“A villain in his own right,” the designer wrote on Instagram, thanking Cardi’s stylist Collin Carter and his team. “It’s really beautiful! Can you believe I made this dress in one day!!”
The “WAP” rapper, who is pregnant with her fourth child with boyfriend Stefon Diggs, wears chunky Jean Paul Gaultier bracelets on each wrist, a Le Vien jewelry ring and Andre DNA earrings. She completed her attention-grabbing look with Aquazzura heels.
Cardi captioned a carousel of photos from the festival with a heartfelt thank you to her fans, writing, “Usually everyone makes their New Year’s resolutions on January 1st, but I made them last night! I feel lucky, but most of all, blessed!”
“My 32nd year has been a year I will never forget!” she continued. “But 😜 33 is the year of Jesus. I have to say I’ve never felt so covered and protected by someone bigger than me.”
The Bronx native hasn’t shied away from a bold maternity look during her pregnancy, wearing a sheer lace catsuit, dramatic pearl bra top and belt to the launch event for her new album ‘Am I the Drama?’. last month.
Diggs’ New England Patriots jersey was recently paired with a plaid skirt, statement Vivienne Westwood pearls, and black-rimmed glasses during an appearance on the podcast Call Her Daddy.
“I wanted to wear a jersey, but I wanted to do my own style,” she told host Alex Cooper about the look.
The mother-of-three, who also shares children Kulture, 6, Wave, 3, and Blossom, 1, with her estranged husband Offset, is due to give birth before she kicks off her long-awaited Little Miss Drama Tour in February.
She embraces her latest pregnancy with enthusiasm.
“I’m excited. I’m happy. I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel so strong. I feel so powerful doing all this work. But I’m doing all this work while making a baby,” she told “CBS Mornings'” Gayle King in an interview confirming the news.
