Alec Baldwin and his brother Stephen Baldwin were involved in a car crash in the Hamptons during the nor’easter that is affecting all of New York City.
According to Page Six and TMZ, Alec, 67, was driving the car. Video footage obtained by Page Six on Monday, October 13, shows the hood of his white Range Rover SUV in East Hampton, New York, appearing to be severely damaged by a tree impact.
Alec wore a gray polo shirt and pants with black sneakers, while Stephen, 59, wore denim shorts layered with a camouflage raincoat and olive green sweatpants. The brothers spoke with police at the scene and were seen getting out of the car, with no visible major injuries.
PEOPLE reached out to Alec’s representatives, but they had no comment regarding the incident. The brothers were reportedly in town to attend the Hamptons International Film Festival, which began on October 5th and concluded on October 13th.

In a video posted on Instagram after the accident, Alec said: “I’m fine, my brother Stephen came to visit me.” He also thanked TIFF staff, saying there were “too many names” to thank everyone involved in the festival.
Baldwin then began discussing the accident in more detail.
“A guy cut me off with a truck, a big garbage truck the size of a whale,” he said in the video. “It must have been a commercial one bringing materials from a construction site. It was the biggest garbage truck I’ve ever seen.”
Baldwin said he then swerved to “avoid a collision” with the truck and “hit a large, thick tree.” “I crushed my wife’s car,” he added. “I’m okay, my brother is okay.” He then thanked the East Hampton police officers who assisted him after the accident, saying the officers at the scene were “as kind as they could be and made me feel good throughout.”
He added that his wife Hilaria Baldwin’s car was “pretty badly damaged” by a “big, thick tree.”
“I’m going to Los Angeles to see my family. I can’t wait. I’m going to California to have my family together for a few days. I’m still so proud of my wife. Hilaria, I love you more than anything. I’ll be okay,” he concluded the video.
According to the festival’s website, Alec serves as co-chair of the board’s executive committee. The actor returned to the Hamptons on October 11th after stopping in Buffalo, New York to attend part of the Buffalo International Film Festival. The actor shared a video of himself having dinner in Buffalo on Instagram.
According to the Weather Channel, the northeastern region caused widespread coastal flooding from North Carolina to New Jersey, and grounded flights in Boston and New York City. In addition, strong winds and rain can cause trees to fall, sometimes disrupting power lines.
