“Storm” is produced and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Ajitpal Singh, who also directed the SonyLiv series “Tabbar” and the Sundance selection “Fire in the Mountains.” Singh created the story along with Francois Renelle and Swati Das.
The series features an ensemble cast of strong female protagonists, led by Parvathy Thiruvothu, Alaya F., Shrishti Shrivastava, Rama Sharma, and Saba Azad. Production is expected to begin soon.
“Tabbar”, which premiered on SonyLiv in 2021, won eight Filmfare OTT (Streaming) Awards, and Singh’s debut film “Fire in the Mountains” had its world premiere in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival.
“Storm gave me the perfect opportunity to make my debut as a producer in the streaming industry, and Prime Video was an instinctive choice because of its proven track record of bringing great stories to life,” said Hrithik Roshan. “What drew me to Storm was the fascinating world that Ajitopal has created.
